Looks to be a 4-team race for the SEC Title. Here is how the four teams compare in terms of scoring in conference games only:

Points Scored per Game:

87.27- Alabama
82.64- Tennessee
81.17- Auburn
68.50- South Carolina

Points Allowed per Game:

67.08- Auburn
68.00- South Carolina
71.82- Tennessee
78.09- Alabama

Scoring Margin per Game:

14.08- Auburn
10.82- Tennessee
9.18- Alabama
0.50- South Carolina

One of these is not like the other. Whoever gets that 1-seed in Nashville (and it appears it should be Bama) is going to have a big advantage in getting to play South Carolina in the semifinals while seeds 2 and 3 are going to get a much tougher semifinal draw.

Fraudulent in the terms of being able to compete for the regular season title, but a well coached team that is much better than anyone expected. I think Florida, or maybe even Kentucky, get the 4 seed in the conference tournament, not SC.

Does it matter? You either win or not.

Yeah, and an easier draw makes it easier to win.

The Top 3 in the SEC are so far ahead of the rest of the group this year, it’s a huge advantage for whoever only had to play one game against the Top 3 vs having to play two such games.

Might be a little early to declare it a 4 team race. UK and UF are both only one loss off 2nd place. There is a lot that can happen still in these final 6/7 games.

Don't think UF ends up there, but I would venture to guess UF's schedule is the most favorable of the top 6.

Except that Bama will likely draw the #5 seed UK and all their traveling fans in a road game.
