Probably UGA, Auburn & LSU. 2 out of those 3. Maybe MSU as well.

yea, I think it's these 4. seems like many are overlooking MSU once again.

Auburn is among college football’s best at defensive line, solid at linebacker, really good at corner but have question marks at safety.

Auburn has a great DLine but the rest of that defense is awful.

MSU has a lot of talent, not sure about their DC. Was a hot commodity, then went to Tennessee and was awful.

Wasn't really long ago that he had the #2 D in the nation at PSU. Things at UT were pretty messed up.

Alabama is the only easy choice here. There's a handful of teams who could fill the other 2 spots. Georgia has too much to replace on defense and the growing pains will show in the stats.

2. Auburn 3. MSU/LSU/A&M

UGA could end up top 3 depending on how well the new starters perform. Wild cards USC with Muschamp and UF with Grantham

We saw what a passing QB can do to UGAs D. They had it done to them three times last year.

When was the last year Bama did not lead the SEC in total defense or scoring defense? I am sure that since 2008 they have been number 1 more times than not. That does not mean anything for this year other than past performance is the best indication of future performance.

Answer is A&M

For real though, I can see Elko having you guys performing better than some would expect. That was a big hire, he is legit and should pay the dividends Chavis was supposed to.

With Jimbo recruiting like he has, year 2 with Elko should be very interesting.

Again, why all the love for UGAs D. They lose a ton and this is a D that got blazed by AU (first game), OU and Bama (2nd half). Other than that, who did they play that was good on Offense ?

I expect UGA to dropoff a bit

Only T-rant is wildly impressed about “LSU front seven,” which is this year’s version of “LSU has 8-first round NFL draft picks, lock.”

The team has a suspect or little quality depth on down line that has proven themselves, and even this year’s projected starters were abused last year by any team with muscle... Only one, I repeat, ONE proven SEC quality LB.

LSU MAY develop a good defense, even without depth at LB, DL, and CB. But to declare them one of “SEC top 3” over veteran units and high talent, deep units like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, State, etc., is just Tr hype.

I recommend putting brakes on expectations.

We get love because we are talented and m for destroying Auburn’s offense in game 2, ou in the 2nd half, and Bama in the 1st half.
