If a you lose a senior class, it often means that you return about 70% of your players.

A full roster of scholarship players is 85.

We have been under by an average of 10 since Boom took over. Last year we only had 77 scholarship players on the roster.

We have not had a roster comprised of 40% upperclassmen (JRs & SRs) since Boom has been here. We've been loaded with TFr, RFr, TSo and RSo for the past two seasons while he builds this program.

So, no, most teams are not built like that.

Spurrier left the team in shambles. Boom's rebuilding job will begin to show this year.

We've only got 17 SRs on the roster heading into this season. Only six of those are true Seniors. Ten of the 17 will probably contribute.

We're up to 82 scholarship players this year. This upcoming 2019 class will be the first full class of 25 since Boom arrived. He's been making-do and saving schollies for this first big class where the past few years of building relationships will pay off.

So, no, you're definitely wrong.

Yes, I realize that. But you lost 4 of the 5 starters on the OLine from the SECCG. That does not bode well.

The problem was when there was an injury on the OL, Hand wouldn't sub a player in, he reshuffled the entire OL. Ask Penn St fans what they thought of him. AU has very good talent on the OL, they just need some continuity and coaching.

Here is where we disagree strongly. We stopped the outside before Kerryon showed he was hurt.

KJ went into the game hurt and UGA knew it.

I don't know if Kerryon being healthy would have made a game changing difference or not. maybe. maybe not. but we came out with a completely different offensive and defensive philosophy in the second game.

Rumor was that Saban helped Kirby with the gameplan. AU burnt Bama doing the same things they did with UGA the first game. By having KJ ineffective (but still played him), it was easy to take AUs Offense down. That is why a lot of fans had problems with Gus at the end of the year. He could adjust to an injury.

How? Gus implied he was healthy. Your fans were saying he was 100%.

Yeah. That's not a good way to handle a Oline. I agree 100%.

I doubt it. I mean, Saban isn't going to help anybody, I don't think. he wants to be top dog....and I can't blame him. Anything is possible, I guess, but Kirby seemed to do well game planning all year, and then did very well with half time adjustments.

Like I said. I have no problem saying the Kerryon's injury had an effect on the game. I am not ready to say that had Kerryon been 100% healthy it would have changed the outcome. I understand we will probably always disagree on this point....I mean you are an Auburn fan and I am a Georgia fan. It's not like either of us are unbiased.

For some reason, we still focused our front 7 on stopping him. Holding the edge instead of losing is and plugging holes instead of not.

It was well known he didn't practice all week. What the press got wrong was the issue was not his shoulder, but his ribs.

State's D was a total mirage last year

@ Georgia - 404 yards, 7.5 YPP
@ Auburn - 511 yards, 9.1 YPP
vs Alabama - 444 yards, 7.9 YPP
vs Ole Miss - 355 yards, 6.6 YPP
vs Louisville - 358 yards, 5.1 YPP

SEC Rankings YPP - All Games
#6 - Mississippi State (5.23)

SEC Rankings YPP - P5 Opponents
#7 - Mississippi State (5.89)

SEC Rankings YPP - Ranked Teams
#11 - Mississippi State (7.27)

I'll go

SEC Rank (Natl Rank)
#1 - Alabama (Top 3)
#2 - LSU (Top 10)
#3 - Auburn (Top 15)
#4 - Georgia (Top 20)
#5 - South Carolina (Top 20)
#6 - Mississippi State (Top 30)

South Carolina will be my surprise. Muschamp has a group of his guys who know what to do by Year 3. Only 5 returning players, but they'll know what they are doing and be really solid up front. They are going to be salty.
