At the end of each semester, students receive their Official Auburn Rings with a series of events, Ring Night and Ring Ceremonies. At Ring Night always held on a Thursday night, every ring is placed on the Auburn Seal in front of Langdon Hall to gain the Auburn spirit, but also becomes cursed when it touches the Seal. Rings are placed on the Seal at 6:56PM (1856 military time - Auburn's founding year) and removed at military time of the current year (2016 - 8:16PM). All are welcome to attend to see the tradition, not just ring recipients. At the Ring Ceremonies held the following Sunday, ring recipients will dip their ring in a bowl of water from the President’s fountain to reverse the Seal's curse, but keeping the Auburn spirit that their ring represents. Ring Ceremonies occur at 2:00PM and 4:00PM in the Student Center Ballroom. Ring recipients will be designated to one of the two ceremonies.

It’s not a real cult until you jizz in something you’re not supposed to. Cult 101.
