And you should stop using that phrase. It's over played and lazy minded.

It looks like Tennessee should be spending less on facilities and more on players and coaches.

I dont know how Bama is able to compete with a school so far ahead facility-wise. Clemson has an indoor putt putt facility AND a slide. My neighborhood park has the slide but nothing cool like a putt putt facility. We got play forts and swings - yall got that Clemson? If not maybe yall should look into increasing your student athletic fee

i think you are in the minority with that view on it.

i don't care about facilities myself. i only posted this because Clemson was no. 1 and i knew it would annoy most of you. :)
Clemson's new facility wasn't completed until right after they won the natty so I agree it isn't necessary to be competitive.
it's not Clemson's fault these articles always mention the slide. clemson's never touted that as a big deal. lol

Does Georgia still have the 50 yard long indoor practice field? I always thought L8U probably had one too.

List is shite.
Arkansas football may suck right now but there is now way our facilities aren't top 20.

Its a subjective list. Why would anyone get annoyed? It has the same relevance as the ad in airline magazines of the "Best plastic surgeons in America"

I take it you never grew up around sports writers. In the old days they never outright mentioned what to write. Just made "suggestions" and a case of booze and a box of cigars showed up for the writer. The better the writer the better the booze and the better quality of the cigars.
Probably mention the slide because it is better than mentioning the polluted lake.
Personally, if you need the slide it will only be a matter of time before Taterland becomes the next Pedo State. Soon the : lol : will be on the next level of "Clempsoning"

Facilities are overhyped. Ive been in many college weight rooms and I thought Alabama's fancy new one was poorly set up. It looks pretty but not functional.
If I set up a weight room, itd have brick walls, tons of racks and platforms, no machines, turf for sled pushing, and a large open area for dumbells and kettlebells. Weight rooms now are built for recruiting purposes only, not functionality.

It is obvious that this list ranks according to 1) locker rooms 2) weight room 3) player lounge 4) trophy room.
It is obvious that the list does not consider 1) stadium 2) indoor practice facility 3)recovery facility 4) academic support
If it considered all of the criteria, there are several that would not make the top 20 at all.

We’re about to build a new $70 million facility, we’ll be on here soon enough. Foley didn’t put enough attention into the facilities.

Playing LSU every year (weather permitting)

Since you went with derogatory names for the other schools, home come you left Clemson alone? I would have gone with Free Shoes U but you went old school with The Girl's school. Seems you had lots of options for Clemson:
Taters
Sheep humpers
Auburn Lite
Clempson

3 of the top 20 have produced championships the rest have not. Northwestern is number 20??? A lot of money at that school. Very surprising they are spending it on sports.

My old coaches ran us outdoors up and down hill grade terrain. Did not cost us anything but time and sweat.
