That’s because he’s 3rd in the league in attempts per game. They’re running him into the ground, even when he’s not performing well. Last week he was averaging under 2 yards per carry, and they still handed him the ball 17 times.

Sounds like they are leaning on the running game.

*Looks up stats. Confirms that Blake Bortles is bottom 3rd in every passing category in the league.

Leonard Fournette is better now than Shaun Alexander ever was?

Not really. There are 14 teams and there are a ton of African Americans in the south

Fournette is "Barely average" but Ingrams .3 YPC and 1 more TD means Fournette "can't hold his jock".

.3 YPC difference is a pretty big deal over the course of a season. Difference in being average and being a Pro Bowler.

LF is being overshadowed by numerous other rookies.

Hey jackass, fournette also missed a game due to suspension too. So don't forget that. He also made your boy yeldon get used to picking splinters outta his arse due to riding the pine being him from now on. Fournette is the best rb since bo jackson and herschel, it's really not a debate. If he went to bama, you would be saying the same thing, but he went to LSU and that changes the way you look at him. Lol, sorry.

This isn’t really relevant to the conversation. I was just pointing out why and how a RB can have high totals but be performing at an average or below average level. LF is getting an absurd number of carries per game, and producing at an average level.

You're really arguing that ingram is better than fournette? Give leonard the same amount of time in the league and see how many pro bow he makes compared to ingram.

I don’t know anyone outside of the LSU fanbase who would argue otherwise. Did you watch Ingram play today?

Over 300 carries .3 YPC is exactly 110 yards. Try again.

Kareem Hunt is the only rookie back "overshadowing" him. Even then, Fournette is still the most talked about rookie in the league.

The fact you're so butthurt about Fournette is absolutely hilarious.

Being 18th in the league in YPC is now "below average"?

Fournette is not in Sean Payton's offense either. Apples and oranges. whatever.

I'm not saying Fournette is the best ever, but he is better than average and is having a solid rookie year. Not sure how Ingram would fare in the jags offense.

LOL, Shaun Alexander won the frickin league MVP and was on the All Decade team for the 2000s.

He ran for roughly 600 yards one time in Tiger Stadium. Remember him?

Or roughly more than an entire game’s worth of rushing yards. That .3 is the difference in having a long career and being out of the league within a few years.

Kareem Hunt, Dalvin Cook, and Alvin Kamara are all having better seasons.

Did you just include a player who played in 4 games?

I’d say “average or below average” is a fair assessment of LF so far. He ranks behind 4 other rookies. If we break it down by thirds, he’s towards the bottom of the middle third of the Top 32.

He’s averaged under 4 YPC in 6 of the 8 games he’s played.

Except there aren't only 32 running backs in the league. If we're only counting starters then Alvin Kamara, who you keep using to troll, is out.

Le'Veon Bell is averaging 3.8 YPC. I guess you think he's well below average then.

Ezekiel Elliot - 4.1
LeSean McCoy - 3.8
Jay Ajayo - 3.4
DeMarco Murray - 3.8

I can edit that for an asterisk next to his name if you like.

Alvin Kamara is used in that offense as a starter. I’d say anyone who is a major part of an offensive game plan is a starter. There are 32 teams. Semantics. Meh.

Yes. This year, Bell’s performance has been below average. That’s .3 YPC better than Trent Richardson’s career average at Cleveland.
