TV lost his last three games against Vandy, the final one being a 10-0 run rule shutout. Good to know that’ll be his last memory of the good guys to the west.

They cracked down on doctored bats this last season and it hindered their offense enough to push him out. It’ll be a lot harder to cheat his way to success in the Big Show.

You are confusing a random year with sustainable success? UGA fans are an odd lot.

Just a heads up Tenn fan.

this isn’t the part that hurts.

When he flames out in San Francisco and returns to coach Arkansas when DVH retires… that’s when you feel it

When was the last time they had any success. Was it the Sid Bream era? They had a random season a few years ago but the “team of the 90s” was a long time ago.
And I thought your college sports takes were dumb. Good Lord.

The Braves have 2 World Series titles, 4 NL pennants, and 18 division titles since Sid Bream last played for the Braves.

I know you’re melting over Tony but try not to out yourself as an idiot in the process.

A lot of bad blood between Giants and Dodgers fans is related to gangs out there. These are people who still live by a code of what colors one wears. Pretty fricked up

Yes at Arkansas . You are about to experience what LSU fans did when Saban left for the NFL only to come back to college and win 7 titles.
I hate it for you guys

I used to worry about what happens when DVH retires, now I've never been more secure about it. If Tony flames out we hire him. If he makes it in the Bigs, Momma calls Wes Johnson home. We'll be fine either way.

Arkansas was always going t be fine when DVH retires. Y'all invest way too much money in the sport not to be fine.

If you don't think Braves have had sustainable success, you're the dumbeyone we all think you are. And if you say they don't because they didn't win it all during 7 of those 8 consecutive division titles, count Tony V's last season as a failure.

Maybe, but we also get away with underpaying DVH big time because he loves the program so much. Plus there was always the fear of whiffing the hire, but I think both Tony and Wes are both practically guaranteed to be successful here.

I love LSU baseball but if I was Jay I'd leave BR in a heartbeat. Knoxville is a much better place to be

He is making the jump to the MLB. Who can blame him?

That is every player, umpire, coach's dream. Going to the Big Leagues. That is damn impossible to turn down.

This, by the way, is not a slight to the Vols. You hired a coach good enough a MLB team made the unprecedented decision to hire him. While it is tough to lose him, that is a major feather in your cap.

Given that this the Volunteer baseball program they are probably willing to open the billfold to attract the best. A lot of really good coaches are looking at the money and resources Tennessee is willing to throw at this and have to be sorely tempted.

As for Vitello, well, if it doesn't work out in the MLB, he can come back to college and schools will fling money at him. A win/win.

They've been in the playoffs 30 out of the last 35 years with 5 pennants, 11 NLCS appearances(every year of the 90's) , and they won a WS in '21 you fricking idiot.

TENN FANS: who does tennessee get to replace him? genuinely curious what the feel is around there about what's next.

I think it has to be Elander, you can put the interim tag on him this season if he does well keep him, if not you can hire someone else. Hard to find a coach after fall practice has started.
