Shouldn't Alabama actually do that once before its a foregone conclusion for 10 years ?

Saban is not Bear;as much as you guys want to pretend and fantasize that he is,he isn't.

But he's the best thing we've had since Stallings. Saban is The Bear compared to the jokers we've hired for the last decade plus.

I don't even know if Chris Todd stays with the team now that Franklin is gone, so I agree that Kodi Burns is our guy for the rest of the year.

Agree 101%. All I'm saying is some of your brethren think Auburn will become Auburn under Doug Barfield and its 9-10 game winning streaks all over again.

Some of my brethren also believe that dental hygiene is the devil's work... I wouldn't read to much into it.

Tubberville is getting loads of blame on this by me. I blame him and Tony Franklin equally for the state our team is in right now.

I still don't think we know everything about this yet.....my gut tells me that something happened personally between Franklin and TT or one of the other assistants. The way TT has been taking the high road through all of the press conferences these past few weeks didn't seem right. Clearly the results on the field sucked, but to fire him halfway through season 1 - with players he really didn't get to recruit - doesn't smell right.

Of course, it is possible that TT thought he just REALLY sucked, but the ramifications seem to outweigh that.

I agree. It really sounds like they must have had a heated argument and someone said something that pushed TT over the edge. I think he is generally a pretty classy coach and probably was not set on firing him two days ago--more heat of the moment kind of thing

so you think with someone different calling the plays, Burns will understand the call and execute the right play? And if he does, his passes won't bounce halfway to the receiver?

I think that Tubby has wanted to play Burns ALL season, And thats where Tubby and Franklin had a problem. Is Burns the answer?? We don't know. But he could be better than what has happened so far!!

If that's the case, he should have.

Tony Franklin runs a true system of offense. Most oline, wr, and rb coaches can't grasp the system this fast. Honestly, they should have removed the Aurburn offensive staff and let Tony bring in his guys. There is probably alot of resistance about the system throughout the staff. Then players pick up on that too. I feel bad for Franklin because he never got a fair shake at Aurburn. Tommy got pressure from the alumni and you know how that goes. Look at Texas Tech, Tulsa, Arizona, and Troy. They are all part of the system but they have position coaches who either played in the system or have been caoching in the system for years. Even more important is that they stuck with system for more than 6 months. TT sucks balls. eom

Todd was witnessed trying to help Franklin move his personal belongs from his office but keep missing the door.

beating Alabama is about to be a thing of the past for Auburn.

I am glad you are equating Saban with beating Auburn, considering his record against TT and Auburn is an amazing 3-3. Saban will get his horses, but Tuberville is still a good coach -- he'll get his wins against Saban.

Not only does this throw recruiting into turmoil, but what decent OC would want to coach here now, 5 OC's in 10 years and now not even lasting an entire season. just .... wow

And what has TT's record been during those 10 seasons?

Say what you will about this fiasco (personally, I think it was the right move) but the man can obviously coach. So I think he'll get the recruits but your point is noted re: the OCs.
