That’s my favorite whiskey. It is the superior double oak!

Right, I have the whole.whiskey row series and a bottle of statesman. Not a bad drop in any of those. There's not even an average drop in any of those. Every one delicious.

Actually a little salt might not be bad. I might try that in my next 4 Roses.

If you like 4 Roses, you will like Jeffersons

I’ll keep an eye out for it. I tried the salt thing………it was interesting. Not terrible, but not an every glass move. What’s life without exploration?

the years I've tried everything from gimmicky, trendy, ultra expensive to super cheap and come to the conclusion Wild Turkey 101 simply cant be beaten if price is taken into account. It's one of a very small handful of cheap bourbons that can be drunken straight while you're still sober.

This is true. Woodford reserve is another one

If I can ignore heartburn. 1920 wins in a landslide. I love high proof goodness. But I get terrible heartburn even iced tea can do it.

Because of that I drink more 1897.

Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea

I've seen that on the shelves, but haven't grabbed it yet. There's so many good bourbons. I'll never try 'em all. I've gotten to where I find a couple or three go-to's that I really like and stick with 'em.

There's a liquor store real close to work that sells the Knob Creek nine year in handle size for $58. I bought a big bottle of that and will sip on it for a little while.

Ardbeg 10 im pretty sure is self described as "sea spray" or something like that. I dont get the ocean taste but I do love that scotch

Ardbeg 10 brings the peat though and not everyone can handle it.

Barrels of Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea® Bourbon travel aboard ships that visit ports all around the globe. The constant motion of the sea churns the whiskey, increasing its interaction with the wood of the barrel. Extreme weather ranging from the coldest of coldest to the warmest of temperatures hyper-ages the liquid in ways no rickhouse could. Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea® Bourbon is Aged At The Mercy of The Sea. Experience a voyage yourself.

Skip it. Its gimmicky hipster whiskey. Go buy a bottle of single barrel Russels Reserve. You can thank me for the rec later.

Russell’s Reserve is now allocated bourbon here.

So it’s become overpriced and I don’t play that game.
