Todays games prove 4 teams is the right number for Playoffs

There's a HUGE difference between the best team and the 4th best team. There's no need for more than 4 teams in the Playoffs to find the legitimate National Champion. More than 4 teams would create unnecessary games that would thin out attendance and burn out the country on college football.
eta - Average fans can't afford to attend a bunch of Playoff games.

#1 vs #2, what more can college football fans ask for?

And how much more boring would it be to watch the #1 team beat the #6 or #8 seed by 50.

Not necessarily. What if Penn St comes out and blows the doors off USC?
Then it shows how important expanding is to make sure you get the right teams in

The right teams were in, and y'all will get to witness another great championship game vs #1 and #2. Sit back and enjoy the entertainment.

The #6-8 teams have no business getting a shot at the title. I wish people would quit trying to turn college football into the NFL. I hate seeing shitty teams like the Giants with 6-7 losses pull together and get going on a hotstreak to win a title.

I'm not saying the right teams weren't in
But if the BIg 10 champ who beat OSU comes out and crushes USC, it will prove to me expanding isn't neccisarrily a bad thing

I disagree you left out two of the hottest teams in the nation at the end of the season. Penn state and USC. With a 8 team playoff they would have got in and created alot more excitement

Why? Because they needed a blocked FG to beat the abortion of a team we saw tonight? What a pile of bullshite.

I am just pointing out the flaw in the OPs logic
In 2004, USC crushed #2 OU by 30+ points
So did that show that the bcs should def not expand to more than 2 teams?

The goal is to find the 2 best teams not the 4 best. If you are trying to get the 4 best you need 6 or 8 in PO to make sure. Screw that. 4 is enough to find the 2 best

The same USC team that Bama beat by 46? Yeah I'm sure they would've faired well.
Before you say anything, I don't care if Tom Brady took over as QB, USC isn't 46 points better than week 1.

This year. Are you seriously saying this will be the case every year?

bullshite. So why hasn't the FCS and other football classifications died out?
