That was my impression of LSU fans. What we've heard for 5 straight years. Just giving you a taste

The only better cultural fit in college football head coaching than Freeze & Ole Miss is Art Briles at Baylor. Freeze isn't going anywhere.

No one wants Freeze.

He only fits in at ole miss. It's nice to have a coach in demand.

We heard it after they beat us in Death Valley last year. Now they'll switch to us being terrible after losing our overrated players. It's why I keep coming back

Sure they do. Florida wanted a coach with the chompers to rebuild after Muschamp luckily for them butter teeth was the better choice

Dude wrong board...somebody should explain that you can overdose on elite koolaid.

Why wouldn't I be surprised if you honestly believe y'all dominated after the 1st Qtr?

Mullen is gone as soon as he gets a good enough offer, with less competition and more money... but it might take quite some time for a job to meet those pre-reqs. He can't croot in the SEC.

He can develop 3*s better than anyone in the country. Unfortunately, that only gets you so far when you're lined up against 4 and 5*s in the SecW.

Not many teams outside the SEC will pay 4.2 million

Ha. No one wants Mullen. 2 and 25 and counting against top 25 teams.

I respectfully disagree. Freeze nearly left for Florida. How much better can you live? There is no state tax, 3 million more dollars, and much more talent than there is in MS. Unless you are one of those fans that honestly believes its easier to recruit to Ole Miss than it would be for a competent coach at Texas.

Take the red glasses off. Freeze graduated from USM, and lived in Tennessee for several years. I'm certain he loves Ole Miss, but this whole he's one of us because he was born in Oxford is absurd. As I mentioned in the post, I don't believe he would leave unless the right situation presented itself, but the this is his dream job crap is funny.

I'd say he's recruiting fine outside of offensive line. I guess the combination of Hevesy really sucking at recruiting and that Mississippi doesn't produce enough elite offensive lineman especially tackles

Hevesy has absolutely got to go... But I think it'll take Stricklin coming in and putting his foot down (do ADs even do that?). They've been together since the beginning of time.

Which happens first? Freeze leaving Ole Miss or Saban retiring?

Some do but football coaches are usually as powerful as they are with exceptional leverage except at Kentucky where cal is king. I doubt Stricklin could force that kind of move outside of a monumental collapse next year.

The italics should indicate that his post was different than normal. I'll wait while you deduce the meaning

I wonder what ole miss fans were saying about Tuberville in the 90s?

We loved him until the pine box comments although we understood that not only is auburn a better job but our AD at the time was a huge cocksucker who offered zero support.

So what you're saying is that the only way Freeze leaves Ole Miss is in a pine box, huh?

Sounds vaugely familiar.

Generally speaking, Mullen won't leave until someone else is willing to pay him more than we are. The only intriguing jobs that were a possible exception to that, were Georgia and Miami. Mullen may be around a few more years, and if he is, it will be time for a mutual change. But when all is said and done, he probably ends up at State longer than Freeze in Oxford.
