Yeah...and I had two Bama fans drive up to me and threaten to "put a cap" in my arse in the Tuscaloose mall parking lot last year after I deboarded the Tide Ride post game. So don't try to make this a Tiger Stadium/LSU fan base issue.
I do have to say; however, that "panic mode" does sound a bit dramatic. I'm pretty sure that in the scope of weaponry, bullets rank over tiger peens....

First off, I know every fan base has bad apples, but don't sit here and act like Lsu doesn't have a rep for this stuff.
My neighbor knows exactly where bullets rank, he walks with a limp because of it. He was outside of the stadium before kick off meeting up with friends. Apparently he waited right next to a tailgate of Lsu fans. He said at first it was just shite talking until a few of them got up and and tried to put aluminum foil on his wife's head while talking about sucking tiger dick. More Lsu fans gathered around them and it got worse. All this went down in front of his two young kids.
1 disabled vet with wife and kids vs 10 plus drunk adult males, I would've panicked too.
Normally I'd be a little skeptical, but not from this guy. It's whatever.

I know that I, and any of my 20 friends and spouses would never allow a group of other tiger fans torment or scare visiting fans. I call bullshite on this story.

quote:wow, i never heard of anyone putting aluminum foil on someone. A shame that lsu fans do this. They have really shitty fans. My uncle went to an LSU tulane game one year, and someone took their feces in the bathroom and threw on him. After someone dumped their bottle of Jack on him and told him that he smelt like he was on the field with the tulane players getting shite on by LSU. He has vowed to never return to tiger stadium.

I've been real critical of your fan base today in the way we were treated but it was a lot of fun. TS was louder last night than I've ever heard it and I've been going to games there for 30 yrs (at least 10 of them). You guys seem to have a little more of the crazies than the rest but I keep coming back so...

domdraper is making this crap up. NO way other tail gaters would let this happen. You are so full of crap. Why do you have to lie. I have been going to games for 35 years and never have I seen this kind of thing happen. Maybe some fights that were the fault of both sides etc. But not some one messing with someones wife like that with kids around and a guy walking with a cane. Maybe in florida but not at lsu

That's the kind of crap I've been talking about. You guys are getting out of hand. Every school has some of this but I'm seeing way too much of it at TS.

Oh come on. We all know lsu fans are known for wearing tin foil hats. Maybe they wanted the pretty lady to join their conspiracy theorist club?

I would intervene/diffuse too, and always somewhat skeptical about second had stories happening exactly as they are told. I tailgated all day long in several areas where there were numerous LSU UA fans interacting, etc… and never saw anything out of hand. Unfortunately it does happen though, and I do regret that your friends were harassed on any level.

One was a fraternity brother of mine, and the other was a neighbor who is married with kids.
Fraternity brother had a coke bottle hit him, and something with cheese(guessing nachos) hit him in the the head. He was next to the SS section.
The married neighbor with kids says he was cussed at in front of wife and kids, and a few "suck my tiger Ds" yelled at his wife that were up close and personal in front of his kids. Was threatened multiple times. He said at one point he was panic mode. Funny thing is he's a Baton Rouge native, and his wife is the UA alum. The guy just got back from his 3rd deployment from Afghanistan, walks with a cane because of his service.
I've always heard negative things about Lsu, but wrote it off as rumors and exaggerations of sensitive fans.
Great game, but its a shame that things like this happen
Bastards
But sitting by drunk idiotic college kids, that's sadly what is coming to be expected.

The stadium, to me, didn't seem as unhinged and crazy as I thought it would be. Is this accurate? Seems like 2010 was more off-the-chain..
You cannot be serious
Where did you sit for both games?

If this were true, all he had to do ws send the wife and kids to the cops in the area he was sitting. It would have been stopped right then. I do not believe this story as it is told. I do believe the students were disrespectful in the taunting, but buying tickets near any school's student section puts you at risk for trash talkin.

It was a good atmosphere for sure, but, I knew we would still walk away with the W. Even a tough place like LSU can not stop this train.
with 2 minutes left, down 17-14, offense sputtering...I thought we were toast. Best comeback drive I've ever seen Alabama pull off.
Credit to our kids for not quitting. Hats off to LSU for the way they played.
Tiger Stadium was AWESOME.

This. For some reason this Draper kind of stuff appears on Alabama boards and gets repeated. It is made up. I went to both schools--LSU undergrad and did graduate work at Alabama. I've been to every Alabama-LSU football game, with 3 exceptions, since 1965. I haven't seen anything like what Draper says at any venue--Legion Field, BDS, or Tiger Stadium. It's always fun to go, and I haven't seen anyone the least threatened. But the thought preys on the minds of Alabama fans; every year there are posts on TideFans.com asking whether it's safe to go to Baton Rouge or not.
