Of course, more inaccurate exaggerations from the biggest bull shitter of them all.

Until they weasal out of paying buyout after they inevitably fail. No in demand coach is going to go to a school who hired investigators to dig up just enough dirt to avoid paying a buyout.

Fulmer's Last Stand ended in the most beautifully hilarious way possible.

just so happens the vols are the current laughing stock of the SEC

I dunno about laughing stock ... I mean losing 2 championship games in a minute and 4 seconds followed by a complete second half collapse is pretty funny, but that’s just me.

Yeah.... I remember reading about the Pruitt hire not only helping Tennessee, but hurting Alabama by taking an excellent DC and recruiter. I don’t know if that was completely true, but I don’t know if it’s completely false either.

I will say this... Phil absolutely understood the TSIO, what it means to the school’s money donors, alumni, and whole fan base. Florida at the time was of prime importance because the winner was most likely headed to Atlanta. Alabama was important because of the often heated rivalry.

There’s a reason Bear said beating the cow college was most important.

you mean because if the heated rivalry, right? Because there was no Atlanta when Bear was coaching. Maybe I read it wrong, but your wording confused me.

Yes, rivalry.

Boys. Joker Phillips is the man they want. He turned Kentucky around from 7-5 to 2-10 in only 3 years! Ended overcrowding in the stadium. Reduced greenhouse gasses on Saturdays in Lexington. Didn't have to worry about losing money going to a lesser bowl. Gave Division I scholarships to the athletically challenged. I bet you can get him cheap.
Be a good way to get a dig in at UK. Hire the man.

We had a special light in the stadium during year 3.

Rich Brooks is still available. Of course, he will turn 80 by the time the season starts...

The last happy memory the Vols have is the 2016 Hail Mary to beat UGA in Sanford, when Butch fell to his knees on the field and cried like a baby.
Tennessee is a garbage program and their fans are garbage people.

Have an upvote for reminding of one of the
great stories in the SEC. I keep waiting
for the Hallmark Channel for a segment
on how doing it the right way---laying it brick by brick---
can create beautiful emotions and a
momentary adoration following.

Beating Auburn in 2018 was a better win.

Seeing as how it essentially cemented Guarantano as your starting QB for the next two and a half seasons, I’d say that was probably a Pyrrhic victory.

I heard a little of Clay Travis on Bham Jox today and that guy is in complete denial about the UT job. He actually believes folks are lined up to walk to K'Ville for that gig.

We'll see. It will take 6-8 million to get someone that is somebody.

Maurer concussions are why Gitmo started in 2019. Covid is my he started in 2020.

2018 Auburn ended an SEC losing streak, against an old school rival, in a game no one saw coming.

Right, and UGA was 8-5 that year with a new coach, including losses to Vandy and GT.... almost lost to Nicholl's St... it's not like they beat some juggernaut. But they sure acted like it. And that's their high point.

Blueblood? Borderline

Massive potential? In-state recruiting says otherwise

Grade A AD? I mean...OK...so?
