Our athletic department is probably the best shape it has ever been. Cohen wants to upgrade every facility on campus. DWS will eventually get bowled completely. The Hump is next on the list for a major upgrade. I expect a national championship in BBW eating contest

That's a nice troll. I'll bite. Why would you expect to compete for a title in anything considering that your school has zero national championships across all sports?
Heck, even Arkansas' johnny-come-lately baseball program is better than MSU's. Arkansas has 2 runner-ups and MSU has 1.

Actually Bowl on the field we are over .500
582-560-40. (19 wins were forfeited 1975-77 over a bogus deal where a player got a clothing discount at a store that was available to all students). Now mind that is still average. But considering our resources, we probably get more bang for the buck than any other school in the conference.
Plus we have had some painful stretches where success was minimal (1948-1973) (1983-1985, 1987-1990) (2001-2006, 2008) particularly come to mind. However since 1991 with the exception of the above years , we have held our own. Certainly we are nobody’s HC opponent anymore.
The State Campus is beautiful and the surrounding area gets underrated. The GTR area is vibrant and growing, commerce has definitely accelerated over the last 30+ years, it is a nice area to live, plenty to do for entertainment, the Tenn-Tom is nearby, one of the best golf courses in the country (Old Waverly) is just up the road, Noxubee Wildlife Refuge is a very scenic area and is just down the road.
All in all we have it pretty good now.

Actually Godawgs4, you don't get to count games where you cheated to win by using ineligible players, so Ms State is under .500 all-time

This.
You want to count wins...don't cheat.

As every thread should you insufferable frick.

But State did not cheat nor did we play an ineligible player. How the NCAA won the case is beyond me when the facts were completely on State’s side and the player nor the University did anything wrong.
Had we really cheated, I would be the first to say that the forfeits were correct but in this case they were not.

Isn’t that the point of any thread that mentions Mississippi?

It’s a State thread so you knew the dickhead triumvirate(Bowl, MSHawg, and Moment) would be here. I love it!

Don’t forget me. I am the reason half of the State posters have to wear the sig pic badge of shame.
I like the folks in here talking about how great State’s women’s basketball program is.

Congrats just do that another 36 years in a row and maybe you'd still be alive to see State tie up the all-time series

Real talk, frick OLE MISS.

Well Oxford Junior College had a great women’s basketball team at one time , a few years back. Well maybe more than a few years back.
Oh and they were 41-1 against the State girls at one point in time.
What happened?
