Despite being in a rural part of Mississippi they consistently seem to have competitive football, basketball, and/or baseball teams year after year.

Last year. Football Bowl game, Baseball CWS Final 4, Basketball NIT Final 4, Womens BB National Champ Game for 2 year in a row.

We’ve had a few nice ADs in a row that have done a damn good job overall - Byrne, Stricklin, and Cohen have all had a hand in this string of success. The Rick Ray hire is the only really recent black mark.

there is a lot of talent in mississippi high schools and then factor in the juco system,actually both schools should have been doing better than they have

We are who we are and most state fans are happy being competitive and mixing in a run at a title every now and then. We expect to compete for a title every year in baseball, now women’s basketball, football has the deck stacked against us because of the west being the hardest division in football but all in all we’re good ole Baws who mind our own business unlike those cocksucking, chicken finger eating, bow tie wearing, chandelier hanging racist pieces of shite doctor want to be’s up in that shite pile dumpster toilet of a city they call Coxford. It's really impressive what State has been able to do over the years. What Ole Miss has done is also impressive, though they usually have more resources at their disposal. I want to say we are the smallest state with 3 Division 1 schools in it.
