The ability to kick LSU out of the conference is in the bylaws, it requires 2/3rds vote.
Get this through your thick skull:
Rule making authority does not empower a private entity to defy courts.
LSU is explicitly protected against retaliation, and the players are explicitly protected against any action that seeks to block them playing.
Normally an unrelated vote to expel a member would be fine.
Voting to expel a member for an issue which multiple courts have restrained? Nope. Thanks for playing. Try again later.

Your entire train of thought hinges around the SEC putting a line the sand and saying hey dont cross this when thats not what is happening. LSU is sitting in front of the line, not crossing it, and the SEC just threw a right hook. LSU did nothing, the SEC just threw the punch.
I gave up on explaining things deeper to people.
Ultimately, this is a case about the SEC's right to autonomy.

That timeline is incomplete:
Doesn’t show Kiffin contacting NFL teams or NFL players.
I wonder what else is missing?

There doesn't seem to be any proof of that so far, several insiders have said that the SEC hasn't even investigated any of those claims yet.

Ah ok. So this is just the preliminary timeline…

The SEC is not defying the courts, it's applying standards for it's members.
LSU is 100% free to sign those players and play them. The SEC is a voluntary organization and has no power to stop LSU from doing those things.
None, zero, 0, zilch.
But you can't do those things and continue being a member of the SEC.
The government doesn't at all prevent your wife from cheating on you. She can go out there and frick as many people as she wants and it's all legal(criminally). If you tried to prevent her from doing that, you'd be guilty of crimes and you'd be defying the law.
But you sure as frick can tell her you no longer wish to be associated with her and leave her arse.
That's freedom and it's fricking awesome.

No you just cant seem to understand that LSU did nothing wrong besides play in the grey area, which the SEC and NCAA created and other schools are also playing in, and haven't actually rostered said players because theyre waiting for the court process to play out. Then they still get sucker punched even though theyre NOT CROSSING THE LINE SEC THEMSELVES MADE. The SEC doesn't have autonomy when it comes to court decisions hence Chambliss is playing because a player not in good standing with the NCAA is not in good standing with the SEC but the court said he could play so.

It’s really just a public service announcement.
Don’t go making bets on Kalshi based on a preliminary timeline that doesn’t include all events….

Kiffin can’t talk to former players about life advice?
Where’s that bylaw?

I can assure you, no pro players was a rule way before that date.

Sorry about your wife, but this is the worst analogy anyone has ever tried to make.
You clearly know nothing about the injunctions against the NCAA or the SEC & possibly don’t even understand what a TRO is.

The NCAA lost its case against the class of 2022. Why did the SEC need to vote on a new bylaw to begin with then?

I understand it.
If you shite in the pool don't be surprised when you are asked to leave.

They didn't.
They were trying to play nice and make it clear to LSU how the rest of the conference felt about what they were doing.

You clearly dont if you dont understand that LSU has not rostered those players and thereby has not broken any rules yet the SEC did "shite" and is acting as if LSU did roster them.

It's called freedom of association.

The fact you didn't roster them is why I don't think LSU will be kicked out.
Everything else you did is what lead it this far, and is also 100% the only reason you didn't roster them. The SECs lawsuit and actions is what ultimately prevented it, not LSU acting in good faith.

Just ignore the dude. He's wrong in every thread he ever jumps into and is either purposefully contrary or intellectually dishonest. You're wasting your time.

They also have rules against players playing a 6th year who were denied a medical redshirt

And the SEC is free to show you the door.
Is it your legal opinion that the NCAA could implicitly enforce its anti-labor, anti-trust rules (Pay for Play, NIL, etc.) if all it did was kick teams out of the NCAA that tried to pay those players?
