Wrong. Against LSU our home field is Tiger Stadium

This part pretty much highlights your general ignorance.

Another shutdown is mentioned in that article. That would not bode well for athletics in your “unhealthy” state.

So you think they are going to shut down the state over 2000 cases?

Especially when what you aren't mentioning is that the bulk of those cases are people who are asymptomatic(80% of people who catch it are) and are just being tested as they go back to work and/or as companies test all their employees.

Meanwhile in the past, it was mostly only those with heavy symptoms who were being tested.

In other words, as I stated previously, the more cases is mostly due to more testing and doesn't really mean very much in itself.

For Alabama folks, would USA's new field be suitable? Mobile would be interesting

I don't mind it being in ATL, but I would not be averse to moving it around just to keep things fresh. I think it would be cool to have it somewhere in Florida. Most people like going south for the winter. Plenty of fun in Miami, Tampa, etc.

It could rotate between a bunch of places. Give every state a chance to host. Dallas, Nashville, New Orleans...

Atlanta is in SEC country, but there is no SEC team in Atlanta.

It is as nearly centrally located between UF and Kentucky, between USC and A&M, and all other SEC teams without being in Alabama, and all SEC teams other than Alabama and Auburn would raise hell if it were re-located here.

Hartsfield Jackson is an international airport near the city and can accommodate traveling teams and fans better than any airport in the SEC states.

Plenty of lodging to accommodate fans. More to do in Atlanta than any SEC city insofar as dining, entertainment, arts, nightlife, or whatever else fans would like to do before or after the game.

Nice new stadium easy to get to.

It won't be moved.

It would be more centrally located for both fans of East and West divisions.

Atlanta is a long drive for many SEC west teams. I don't really care anyway because I don't expect my team to make an appearance for many coming years if ever.

Why not rotate it between New Orleans, Nashville and Houston?

New Orleans is a nasty cesspool and Houston is far far west of most SEC teams.

I don't think there would be much argument about alternating between Atlanta and Nashville.

Don’t disagree.

I like Nashville being a viable option. I think it’s a great option actually.

But if Houston is too far West for some SEC teams, why is it ok to screw the Aggies by having it in ATL?

I realize it hasn’t been an issue to this point as we haven’t made the game, but odds are we will soon and def will at some point.

Id even be in favor of permanently moving it to Nashville.

Yeah, it's so nasty yet no other city has hosted more super bowls.

You should contact Roger Goodell and let him know that he's making a huge mistake.

Maybe he'll move it out of New Orleans in 2024 to a city of your liking.

Atlanta is currently the best place for it. Nashville would be an interesting option if they had a dome, but the unpredictability of December weather is a problem. Birmingham has no dome either and Lesion Field is the biggest dump in the southeast.

Good point

Let the SEC Teams vote on it!
14 Teams 14 votes & Ed Orgeron is the Tie-Breaker

As an Alabama folk, nothing in Alabama is more suitable than Mercedes Benz Stadium and the surrounding area.

Wherever it's played it needs to be in a domed stadium.

Location doesn't matter to me because I'll be watching from my chair at home.
