Time for the SEC East to Go It Alone

The West's athletic prowess is obviously head and shoulders above the East. The West should split, form its own conference, add OU, and call it a day.

SEC East schools (with the exception of USCjr)are academic and/or basketball powerhouses with soccer, lacrosse and field hockey soon to follow. Smart folks from Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maryland (me), and New Jersey are moving to Nashville, Atlanta, Charleston, and Florida. By contrast, every team in the West is housed in a state ranked in the top ten most impoverished.

If you have to single out individual degrees that are somewhat well respected to try and show that your school isn't terrible overall, you've already lost.
