Got a late first early second round grade. Had 10.5 sacks in 12 games, despite playing almost only on obvious passing downs

He should leave. It's in the best interest of LSU

Did LSU recruit him at all? Serious question, I really don't remember who else was in the race.

Idk if that's smart or not? Late first early second is a hell of grade for a pass rush specialist.

He announced he was staying some time back, says he wants to develop into an every down player before coming out.

Sounds good to me.

Incredible. Ragland set a precedent, and these guys want to finish out their careers at the greatest program ever conceived, and get their degrees. Obviously no one would blame him one bit for leaving.

ragland did the same this last year. he wants to prove he can be an every down player. if he can show that and still pass rush he can be a top 5 pick kinda guy

Bama is the GOAT program all time.

More important to the point, Saban has Bama currently operating at the greatest level ever conceived.

Just the facts.

quote:

That’s something I plan on doing,” Williams told BamaOnLine, “because it’s gonna really help me out as far as me having that extra year to show the NFL I can play first and second down and not shoot myself in the foot going in just as a specialist.
“I have dreams, I have goals. I really wanna be a first-round, top-10 pick.”

He's a confident guy. I like it.

quote:

I’m ready right now,” Williams said. “It’s like our team, man, we got a bunch of guys that can come in and play, make a play. We have a brotherhood of guys. We believe in the team. As long as the team wins, then everybody else is happy.
“I got two great guys in front of me as far as first and second down in Denzel Devall and Dillon Lee, awesome players and they’re senior. When they leave next, I’ve got a chance to start on first and second down.”

we will see. he was literally the most productive defensive player in the country per snap this year. If he shows he can play the run he will go top 10, hes that talented. NFL puts a huge premium on edge rushers, and there will not be a better one next year than williams
