This is the real story. Is there anybody in the entire state of Louisiana that isn't a gun-toting, dope-smoking thug?
Seeing as I can't remember the last time an LSU player was caught with a gun, probably

Isn't "Culture" the word people use to describe NOLA crime?

Most of gun crime is drug related , and suicide. If we legalize drugs and placed a priority of helping mentally ill, a lot of it goes down. California has a smart gun law believe it or not, it allows family members to petition a court to have a mentally ill person guns taken away.
MLK Jr. applied for a permit and was denied so he carried illegally.

You can laugh all you want but I'm a strong supporter of everyone not prohibited by past actions to carry at all times. You will never catch me without my ruger unless I am somewhere where weapons are not permitted, which constitutes a LOT fewer places than it used to thanks to our new gun laws from a couple years ago.

Until you get a liberal judge that doesn't support gun rights and he uses he's power to start taking away people's guns..

I'm guessing he was arrested near campus though right?
I'm curious where he was.

Future team captain, the Saban way.

Dear everyone who is 21
Actually, the minimum age is 18, not 21.
Just an FYI.
Also, you don't need a permit to have a pistol in a car if it is unloaded and locked in a storage containers.

I'd take that piecemeal risk over a blanket firearm ban. The key is its the family members who make the call.

I know, I live in NOLA and was just getting in to a pointless back and forth over semantics while finishing my morning coffee.

Since he was arrested by UA police, was this on campus? Also if it is a on campus thing, what does the University say about carrying guns on campus?

all correct. 21 to buy from a retailer, 18 to buy person to person and to possess.

Does he have a permit but did not have it on his person?

The next question is then why did the cop feel the need to arrest him? I know our cops in La get a hard on over arresting LSU football players but I thought things were different in Tuscaloosa.

Saban's punishment for Williams will be dependent on if Williams is convicted in the Court of SEC Rant.

if that was the case then the charge would have been carrying a firearm on campus, not without a permit.
