Saban coming to LSU would be a worse melt than Saban leaving Bama

One poster said the interim AD publicly declaring that LSU is not hiring Saban....makes him all the more convinced that LSU is, in fact, hiring Nick Saban.

Not all of us are delusional enough to think that Saban will get back into coaching anywhere, LSU included. I don’t think Lane is coming to LSU either. Only motivation for Kiffin would be that LSU has a pipeline for more recruits in Louisiana and LSU probably has a slight advantage on the NIL/financial resources side of things.
I would think Ole Miss would match whatever offers LSU or Florida offer him.

They're gonna hire Saban as AD and Kiffin as HC.

It's fun to dream. Nobody reasonably believes it. But he has a lot of love for LSU. He's not coaching again. But I know if he did ever come back, it wouldn't be at PSU or Ark or UF or AU.

Does he want to burn that much love at Bama? We'll see.

Who cares, in the end anyway? He IS old. However much gas he has left in the tank ain't gonna be a 2007-2023 run.

If he chooses to incinerate the Bama nation affection, that's his choice.

This is stupid. He could go win another title at LSU or even the Barn and it wouldn't change how I feel about him one iota. He's the greatest coach we've ever had, sorry Bear, and nothing he does going forward is gonna make me like him any less.

some fans may think it's "fun to dream" but i can't imagine a lot of the fanbase is going to react well when it becomes clear saban was never an option and kiffin likely isn't coming. some of those baws clearly believed this 'dream' was actually happening. they could be in for a rude awakening.

might be time to start setting more reasoable expectations to mitigate the damage when the actual hire comes into focus imo.

This is how I feel about it too. I'm 49 and have watched us have quite a few shitty seasons and shitty coaches. I appreciate what Saban did for the University and for this city. Nothing he does in his post Alabama career will make me see him in a bad light.

1. Kiff isn't leaving OM {Jimmy Sexton IS working his Magic in the background for Kiff though}

2. Saban isn't going back into coaching. When it's Time vs Money, Time begins to win as you have less of it ......
