I don't hate Alabama as an institution....its the arrogance of their fan base...much like USC's fan base was in their hey day. Its mostly the ignorant bandwagon people....and the hype machine that constantly touts Alabama even after a pasting by Ole Miss. Had that been anyone but Bama, we wouldn't even be discussing them. Notre Dame is the same. My 3 least favorite teams (in no particular order)...Bama, USC (W), and Notre Dame.

It isn't just Tiger fans.
People hate Bammer because the idiotic fan base and the inflated claims of championships they do not really have.
I've said it before and I will say it again. Bammer is the only school and fan base in America that can win a national championship, and still manage to walk away looking like losers. That takes a 'special' talent.

I actually respect Bama as a program. Some fans are questionable (LSU has some too, though Bama probably more).

I've never hated Bama. I hate losing to Bama. I think Saban is kind of a jerk (he was at LSU as well), and piling that on top of Bama's always being good really makes it a tough loss. It's also physically impossible to "beat" Bama. You may win the game, but it's only if they beat themselves 
. That can be a little condescending and make people want to beat you more. Again, not a hate for Bama, just makes you want to win and get upset when you are close and don't.
I only dislike Ole Miss.

No, not at all. I developed a dislike for the man when he left for Miami. Everything since that day has just exacerbated his reputation for his < than 0 integrity.

Bama is probably my 2nd favorite SEC team. I go to this game in Tuscaloosa every 2 years. All fan bases have idiots and sidewalk fans. I'm smart enough to know that, therefore there is no hate. Any dislike is because you guys usually take what we want.
As far as Saban...I know people that used to work with him at LSU. Everyone was pretty miserable. I love Miles. That being said....Nick is THE MAN.

I don't hate Bama. I hate how the Saban situation played out, but accepted the results a long time ago and moved on.
Their is an element there though that makes playing against Bama the most exciting time of the season because both teams are usually similar. Love the battles that formed with Bama's success since Saban arrived. Gave another game more meaning.

I don't hate Bama. Their alumni base are cool. They do have a shite load of band wagon assholes, but that's to be expected with success.
I do hope LSU kicks the piss out of you guys one time a year, and maybe two apparently.

For me, no.
Saban didn't love LSU and he doesn't love Bama either. He's a hired assassin paid handsomely to do the job. He was paid well for what he did for LSU, too...and LSU did just as much for his career. It was a clean break. He wanted the NFL challenge, and it kicked his arse just like Spurrier's, he came back to college. No harm, no foul.
I think he's torn about having his legacy tied to a fan base that embarrasses the shite out of him, and wishes he could've done it somewhere else...but, dollahs, y'all.
I couldn't imagine having a coach that I was scared to death the fanbase will eventually run him off with sheer stupidity. Like I said: No harm, No foul.
I know he's uncomfortable as hell over that statue, too.

I have great respect but also have great displeasure for Saban. I was close to going to Alabama and have many friends who go there so I know there's more to your fanbase than your sidewalk contingent. LSU also has a huge fanbase (thank God ours stay out of the media) so I've never understood why many bring it up on here as if it's a bad thing.
But to answer the question, the championship game really sucked. A historic season tarnished by a rematch. Alabama is also consistently the only program that stands in our damn way to Atlanta

I don't hate Saban. Our program might still be in the 90's dumpster if Nick hadn't come to town. I respect him as the greatest coach of our generation.

Not even close. If you ever went as a visiting fan to BTR you wouldn't say this. LSU fans are the loudest, brashest, trashiest, foul mouthed on the planet. My wife wont go to a game against LSU because of the fans and I wont let my daughter go. I havent been to this game since 2009 because of the LSU fans and I'm only going this year because my BIL has no one else to go with. Everybody I know sells their tix to this one just to stay away from Tiger fans. I'm going but hope to have no interaction with these idiots. Its not just us that feels this way. Ask around about folks perception of your fans on gameday.
And yes, the hate was ratcheted up big time when Saban came on board. Anybody LSU fan that says their hate is no different than before Nick at Bama is lying.
