Though the art scene is doing very well for it's size.
I feel like there's been a huge push to make NWA an arts destination going forward, seems like new stuff is constantly being added.
Lots of festivals and makerspaces popping up in Fayetteville, Bentonville and Rogers.

The Walton's have spent a lot of money making that happen. They're assholes. But at least they're developing their hometown.

what kind of industry is there, or is it just a bunch of retirees that are enamored with the foothills?

Awesome atmosphere along Dickson, and an overall great place to be.

For second, I thought to myself, could this Oklahomey poster be Baker Mayfield???

Then on second thought probably maybe not.

Will it EVER translate to better recruiting tho?
Yup, the day when young black recruits care about the same middle class white bread metrics that are used to make these lists.

It really is. BR was pretty great back in the 80s.

There's a big SEC university here, too.
I just got off the Greenway. I rode from my house, down around Baum, back up through Walker Park and downtown.
I can reach Baum Stadium in 20 minutes by bicycle. It would take longer than that to drive and park for a baseball game. The bike trail system in Fayetteville is really something. Nearly all 40-something miles of paved path in the city of Fayetteville are now also lit at night. I may cave and finally get a new mountain bike this year so I can ride Kessler and the stuff up north.

So, before making the list they excluded all but the most populated 125 metro areas?
There are some pretty nice small towns out there..

I agree, Katrina flushed a bunch of shite out of New Orleans directly into Baton Rouge. Just not a good place to live anymore.

I assume this list looks at jobs and other stuff that doesn't apply to college kids. I doubt average college kid cares about the arts scene in the city, for example. lol There will be arts stuff on any college campus anyway.
