Thread Acknowledging That 2013 Auburn Is More Than a Fluky Team

SEC Championship:
545 yards rushing versus what was the SEC's #2 rushing defense was no fluke.
Scoring 59 and winning by 17 was no fluke.
Dorial Green-Beckham's first touchdown pass should have been overturned, and Missouri had a defensive score. The better team won, and the score was closer than it should have been.
Iron Bowl:
Aside from terrible play on Cooper's 99 yard touchdown reception, Auburn held Alabama's offense in check for the second half. Cyrus Jones would return the favor. A few moments later, Gus decided to put a return man in the end zone on Alabama's long field goal attempt. Alabama's linemen did not execute proper field goal coverage. The 109 yard return was not a fluke; it was just the second big instance of Auburn executing better than Alabama in the final minute of the game. Neither team played their best game, and both teams left points on the field. Auburn took advantage of Alabama's countless errors to win the ball game; they found a way to win.
The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry:
Auburn managed to blow a 20 point lead in the fourth quarter and shift momentum to Georgia. Aaron Murray was credited with a touchdown that should have been overturned. Despite the awful 4th quarter performance, Auburn won and is the better team. Auburn executed better than Georgia on "The Prayer in Jordan-Hare". There were several things wrong with the safeties' execution on that play.
Texas A&M:
People want to talk about a horse collar tackle and Manziel being injured. Coates beat Everett twice before the end of the second half but Marshall and he didn't connect for the touchdown. Manziel and Evans ended up scoring after Auburn's failure. The misplaced throw and dropped pass could have provided a 14 point swing in the score. Regardless, Auburn made up for that and still found a way to win the game.
Ole Miss:
Auburn never trailed Ole Miss and built their lead as high as 17 points. Auburn executed better than Ole Miss that night and is the better team. There's really not much to debate regarding this game.
Mississippi State:
Auburn overcame a -3 turnover margin and held Mississippi State's offense in check during the second half to win the ball game. Auburn's current offense hadn't been implemented when this game was played. Auburn is the better team.
Washington State: It was the season opener, but Auburn's dominant second half defense showed up for this game and made enough stops for an Auburn victory.
As a Georgia fan, I'm disappointed that another rival of ours is competing for their second national championship in a 4 year period. My team has never made it to the BCS Championship or gone undefeated during the BCS era. Auburn did enough on the field to potentially get there 3 times in the past decade. They couldn't beat the system in 2004. 14-0 in 2010. Now they've got a shot to defeat the greatest team in the country. I'm not rooting for Florida State or Auburn. Georgia won't be there, so I don't care about the outcome of that game. Georgia had their shot to stop Auburn from being there and failed in embarrassing fashion.
Auburn has a good football team. If they can start building good defenses again, then they will become an elite program. One season proves nothing. We'll have to wait and see if they can sustain this success and build on this season's accomplishments.
Auburn fans, your team won the SEC Championship. This isn't a new experience for you. Please show some maturity and act like you follow one of the SEC's best teams this season. Everyone's looking at you, and you aren't going to gain much respect with the way some of you have been acting here. Let this thread validate you. Celebrate your program's turnaround. I know most Auburn fans were probably satisfied with this season weeks ago, and things have just gotten better.
Have a happy holidays! I look forward to our teams' meeting next season.

It's irrelevant due to Auburn beating the 3 teams that beat LSU.

For the life of me I cannot understand where the concept came from that any one fan of any team represents any more than themselves. Seriously, I've met fans from every flipping SEC team in my 40+ years on this earth and I've seen everything from class and intelligence to rudeness and mouth-breathing ignorance represented in each fan base. No one fan base has the market cornered on any one attribute, be it good or bad. No matter what I see from any one fan, I do not ascribe the behavior of one, or even some, as representing any fan base as a whole.
This whole notion that any fan base is some sort of herd that moves and acts as some sort of entity of it's own is just stupid and I for one cannot understand how so many people are dumb enough to but into this lie.

It's funny how some fans of your biggest rival finally acknowledge you have a good team once you beat them.
