It is far past time to bring back the beer barrel. Best damn trophy in college football.

Somebody had to get those two schools as their annual rivals for the next four years. It is what it is, and Vandy could potentially be good for a while.

Annual rivals are probably going to change a bit every four years anyway.

Oh, well then what happened with LSU v MSU? 115 games between the two. Thats 26 more times than Alabama v Auburn and only 5 less than Tenn vs UK.

Weak, but it is the Vols so not unexpected.

Yes, but it's a built in two layups, while all other power programs get one. That could easily be the difference in making the playoff.

We got 3 layups.

Most of us wanted UGA or UF over UK.

I wanted Bama, UGA, and Vandy.

Hahah Tennessee getting roasted for having a weak schedule, after playing murderer's row for the last thirty years . IIRC, they are the only team that had to play us, Georgia AND Alabama every year, year in and year out.

No one else had to do that, so I don't begrudge them this small respite.

But it makes sense that a Texas fan wouldn't know this. They're not a real SEC team.

Yep, and we never complained.

We played UGA, Bama, and UF when we were at the top of our game. We played them when we were at the lowest point in our history.

...and we never complained. We liked it that way. It made the season ticket package worth it every year.

Are you implying Tennessee built their rep on beating up Kentucky and Vandy?

Texas has no room to gripe about Tennessee with that weak arse schedule y’all had the last two years.
Tell me about it. Could you imagine if Texas had to play Arkansas on the road last year like Tennessee did?

Oh wait…

Odd coming from someone whose team largely made their name beating up on bad teams. While we had to play prime Saban, prime Meyer and Kirby. I’ll miss the Florida game. I’ve always respected the hell they used to raise in the Swamp.

I honestly feel bad for AU and Tennessee fans having to play Vandy annually. It's just a shitty overall game with no possible great outcome and little to no hype or enjoyment. LOSING CRUSHES A SEASON

You're not still feeling last year, are you? Nashville is a nice visit, as is Lexington.

Texas always has soft schedules. But, they're a soft program. Always have been.

It's the Tennessee tradition of the November bye month.

Their schedule next year looks pretty damn brutal actually. Opening at Ga Tech second game of the season as well.
