I know they're not an SEC team, but they're ranked #2 and escaped with a win last night.
What do you see from them here on out?

They have some losses coming.

Fast, athletic, well-coached team in a fairly easy conference. Will probably drop 1 or 2 but will be in the playoff discussion.

They only beat Minnesota 30-7 last year, it was an opener, Minnesota is probably underrated.

First week,
No way to determine

They played a well coached Minnesota team on the road, in an opener, and won. They got a lot of starters back from a team that crushed a solid Ole Miss team, and Gary Patterson is a badass.
They are at least a top 5 team

Yep. Minnesota was ranked at one point last year, Jerry Kill is a good coach and on the road, on a Thursday night, in the first game of the year was dangerous for TCU. They'll improve as the season goes on.

If/when they lose one game, they should be out of the playoff discussion...no matter what else happens. Same applies to Baylor even more so. Conference with 3 total ranked teams + 0 quality OOC games. Of the combined 6 OOC games between the two "best" Big 12 teams, the best one in a landslide is @ Minnesota..and they won by one TD.
I look at this as Boise State 8 or so years ago, where with one loss they were absolutely out of the BCS bowl discussion.

Yup. The defense lost almost everyone from last year but that offense is loaded. They just played like shite for whatever reason. Maybe it's a psychological "hunters to hunted" transition but I'll bet they get it together.

My thoughts are that if I wanted to discuss them or see a topic on them I would go look at the More Sports Board.

Weak schedule. 5th if they played in the SEC west.

It could have beeb Minnesota's biggest win in nearly 20 years. Jerry Kill has done a phenomenal job there so far. Plus Minnesota has a very favorable schedule other than a road game to Ohio State. I think they'll be in the Big 10 championship
