Thoughts on Leach heading into year 3?

I will probably want him replaced if he doesn’t get at least 8 wins. It’s a year he should be fully loaded. I haven’t liked how our teams often look unprepared or not together.

Not from Mississippi or a fan of either Miss SEC team (don't have any strong feelings about them one way or the other), but I'd say (as a know-nothing outsider) that he needs to win the Egg Bowl next season.

Looks like the 3rd best hire in his class. Probably won’t make it past year 5 because the conference is loaded right now with coaching.

We may be breaking in a new QB year 4.
I want the assessment after an up year, not during a rebuild. If we have a lot of upperclassmen - including a QB year 4, then maybe I’ll wait.

Serious wtf moments, but I’d keep him. Longevity seems to help production.

Huh? This a wtf post. Yeah, we looked lost in the bowl game…But these two teams (20-21)never fricking quit.
Georgia with less than 50 players? You think Mullen or Whatshisname would have done that?
Arrgh motherfricker.

I think he should have 5 years to get you to 9 or 10 wins. 7-6 isn't great, but it could be worse.

I never said they did. I said they look unprepared sometimes - that’s different.

I’m fine with 7-6 this last season since we return good players. I just expect us to have up years every 3-4 years. If he wins 7 every year, that consistency is great, but I’d rather a higher ceiling. 8-9 wins is really all I’m asking.

Weird considering he’s gonna beat your team’s arse quite frequently.

And you really think he underperformed in his first two years? He’s only had one spring with his team (Covid?) most of which he didn’t recruit….some our fans are fricking delusional

I wouldn't be to quick to pull the trigger on him. If he gets the right players for his system he'll hurt some feelings.

I can't imagine why good receivers wouldn't want to play in that system.

You’re already wanting him replaced if he doesn’t get 8 wins. I don’t think we are at the stage of considering replacing him…like someone said..with who? Why even bring it up?

I will say. If he loses the Egg Bowl again, That won’t be good for his longevity

He has always been overrated. Some people get so excited by his press conferences that they dont realize he doesnt recruit and his teams are mediocre

I think a program that is below .500 historically should be thankful anyone wants to coach there.
