He reported it to Paterno, then called it good. Like I said earlier, he either didn't care after that or he's just a coward.

I don't think I would have done anything differently were I a Tennessee fan. That being said, I'm so glad I'm on the outside looking in.

BTW if you destroyed an entire University and anyone associated with it

I said that the PSU football program deserved the Death Penalty. I never said to burn down or close the University.

Do you disagree? Go on record.

You are reading way too much into what I said as only specific to PSU.

Regarding Schiano ... no clue what he knew and did not know ... but, if there's any doubt whatsoever ... presumed guilty when it comes to child predators or those who condone it, ignore it, etc.

Maybe I’m wrong but the outrage seemed more about the football aspect and just gave them an excuse.

Had they protested Art Briles?

The head coach, president of the university and AD covered up child rape to protect a football program

NCAA should have padlocked the gates to the stadium

No one here has done that. Everybody thinks Sandusky is scum. Quit leading with your emotions. Think this through logically.
According to the LAW, people are innocent until PROVEN quilty.

I haven't seen anyone rushing to file charges, based on what someone might have heard someone else say about Schiano.

We are entering dangerous territory when people's lives and livelihood can be ruined based on hearsay.

Don't be surprised when it winds up at your door.

Schiano's life is not ruined. He just didn't get a job that he was interested in.

Happens all the time to people, myself included.

But ... you go ahead and hire Schiano to babysit your kids ... so you can feel better about due process and all that WHEN IT COMES TO HIRING.

It's not like Schiano is being threatened with jail time. He just didn't get a job that he wanted.

If Schiano is innocent, and knew nothing, why isn't he suing the pants of of McQuery and whoever told him that?
I would be screaming it from the rooftops and suing anybody and everybody that even hinted that I was involved in not reporting.
Schiano was too quiet about it.
I wouldn't rest until my name was completely removed from any hint of it.

He was 37 years old when this finally came out. Eventually, "still a kid" is not an excuse, not that "almost still a kid" was ever an excuse.

Just stop...

AND THIS is the inconvenient truth for all those white knighting for Schiano, and it's a bitch because they have no explanation.

Well ... we kind of aren't.

And ... this is a HIRE DECISION.

Yeah ... we are a nation of laws ... laws on the books about being here legally vs. illegally ... how is that going?

We had a person clearly guilty of numerous felonies within reach of the White House ... that is walking around free as a bird.

But yeah ... when it comes to defending those even remotely associated with crimes against children ... then, all of the sudden, everyone screams for absolute due process.

Disgusting. Sucks for Schiano ... but that's life ... his outrage should be towards Sandusky, Joe Pa, PSU, and a host of others.

No, we are now a nation of the court of public opinion and internet vigilante justice warriors.
