solid point

maybe maybe not

he at a minimum told Joe Pa - I guess after that he saw Sandusky with Kids and was like I guess it is okay? if so you have a good point. burn that ginger at the stake too

You have no idea if he came out with the whole truth. In a thread about punishing people associated with covering up child rape, and you are the OP, that’s a pretty shite take from you.

He saw child rape and didn’t tell the cops about it.

I don't know if he's thought it was OK, or if he is just a coward. Probably both. Either way, no one should be defending him in any way.

Who exactly is defending harming children? What a fricking stupid thing to say. I’m sorry but someone that does not share your self righteous moral outrage is not for harming children. Ironically the scorched earth policy you seem to favor including anyone associated with Penn State whether they actually did or even could have known anything could in fact harm children.

He won't cause he likely knew or at least heard rumors. The smart thing to do for him would be just to let it die and keep his nice DC position.

That might be my favorite part of this, honestly. UT screwed themselves over by giving in to the fake social media outrage, and they might still to have pay Schiano for it.

But what if he didn't know?

Should he have known? It really doesn't matter if his role was villain or fool Paterno/Sandusky will hand around the necks of that staff till the day they die. And rightfully so.

The NCAA's gutting of the Penn State sanctions solely on the basis of the Northeastern tv market is the most shameful sports scandal in American history.

I wouldn't go that far. At least he finally did something about it, and like he probably thought at the time he saw it, it's cost him his career.

PSU aside ... it is a blanket statement.

In any circumstance ... if innocent children are being harmed, especially sexually, and anyone condones or endorses such activity, I hope that person dies.

I don't give a frick if you have a problem with that.

Regarding McQueery (sp?) ... my issue with that ginger frickhead ... is why the hell did he not directly intervene and STOP Sandusky when he saw what he says he saw?

How could any decent man or human being not DO SOMETHING then and there?

I would. How many victims wouldn't have gone through that if he'd done the right thing from the start?

Sure, nearly a decade later, because he really had no other choice.

He's a scumbag, like the rest of them.

The shite of it is, if they were this close to signing Schiano, common sense would dictate that was the best coach they could get. Now not only are the not getting him, but you know where the bar is set and nobody better than him is headed that way for sure.

Nope. He was our #1. No one else was even considered because fricking Haslam had an agenda. Haslam pushed Schiano to the Browns and failed. Then he pushed Schiano to UT and failed.

Haslam needs to get the frick away from UT football.

I'm not going to pretend that this is really about what he did or didn't do at Penn St.

If I thought he could win 10 games/yr at Tennessee, I wouldn't care. I think he's a Conference USA tier, shite hire. I don't want him. No one did.

This is the very definition of mob mentality and what we were talking about on here last night. It's almost like we're saying, "Screw it! Everyone who attended Penn State from 1966-2011 is just as guilty as Sandusky!"

Let's just kill 'em all!

I'm not absolving him. I'm just saying that there are others who never came forward. I don't see how he's worse than the others. Maybe the same level, but I don't think he's worse.

Wow, what a great person you are. Now,who exactly is in favor of harming innocent children especially sexually?

BTW if you destroyed an entire University and anyone associated with it because something terrible happened that most had not only nothing to do with but no way of knowing about it you could actually be harming innocent children. You punish the guilty and if you think someone is involved you should have some actual proof but hey don’t let that ruin your self righteousness.
