I know we all joke about obsessions and the like but Aggies definitely have a major obsession/inferiority complex issue with the "sips".

I guess it's because y'all are so much alike.

from what I have seen longhorn is the Southern Cal of the 2020s. why get worked up about something that is 90% bravado and 99% media fellatio.

hmmm. well, I probably shouldn’t have mentioned fellatio.

nvm. as you were.

The media can slob on them all they want. As long as SEC corruption isn’t ensuring they get guaranteed CFP spots, it’s irrelevant.

If you’re referring to Carroll’s teams, they beat the brakes off every SEC team they played and would have dominated the conference. Auburn, LSU and Florida lucked out avoiding them in those NCs

I'm perfectly fine with someone like UGA questioning our outlook for 2026. But you...I mean, damn. Kids born the last year a&m beat Texas in football have drivers licenses now. Know your place.

Weird argument considering LSU and Florida "avoiding" them was the result of USC not winning enough games to get there.

No idea what you’re talking about.

But Texas was preseason #1 last year. So I don’t pay much attention to whether there is a lovefest or not.

You have to remember Not everyone is following as closely as you are.

You’ve been on a roll lately. And not an especially flattering one…

True in the case of LSU, but Florida was better by one game.

USC also played weaker schedules and didn't win enough games vs those weaker schedules to make the natty.

2003 USC lost to unranked California and only beat 2 ranked teams in the regular season, #6 Auburn and #6 Wazzu

2003 LSU, by comparison, lost to unranked Florida but beat 3 ranked regular season teams in the regular season, and #5 Georgia in the SECCG.

2006 Florida only lost 1 regular season game to #11 Auburn, 2006 USC lost 2, both to unranked teams.

2007 USC lost to unranked Stanford, a 41 point dog, and # Oregon. They had 3 ranked wins. #14 Nebraska, #24 Cal, # 7 Oregon State.

2007 LSU lost to #17 Kentucky and unranked Arkansas, both games in triple OT. They had 5 regular season ranked wins and another in the SECCG. #9 Virginia Tech, #12 South Carolina, #9 Florida, #17 Auburn, #17 Alabama, and #14 Tennessee.

There is no FEI ranking for 2003 and 2006 however in 2007, LSU was ranked #2 and USC was ranked #7.

2008 USC lost to unranked Oregon State and had 3 ranked wins.

2008 Florida lost to unranked Ole Miss and had 5 ranked wins.

The problem was they also lost to two unranked teams fairly late in the year.
