If the conference really had its shite together, there would have been a championship game to settle that. TCU looked like the better team throughout the year and finished ranked higher, so I wouldn't write them off.

Years Chavis has been a DC in the SEC: 20
Years Chavis' team won the SEC title: 3
Years Chavis' team won the national title: 1
Not sure he has 20 years left in him, but I guess if he did, A&M would be turning cartwheels over three SEC titles and one national title over the next two decades.

if the east would have given a good representative to the new years 6 it would have bumped the west teams down a peg in the bowl games and the west would have won more.
but the east isn't good enough for the new years 6
Which one was LSU in?

And still couldn't win the east. I like Georgia, but damn Mark Richt is good for one of those wtf games nearly every single year.

Bama and Auburn are loaded. So is LSU and if they produce at QB they will be playoff caliber. Ole Miss can and probably will do some damage, MSU won't drop off too much, A&M has the talent to field a top 15 team and Arkansas is the wild card playing the most physical style of football in the SEC.
I am not shitting on the east either just stating what I think will become a fact.
No.. how many teams are starting new QBs? We hear the same nonsense every year.. "strongest SEC ever next season?"
Defensively.. the SEC west is going to be very strong.

Chavis has been a part of one national title in 30 years of coaching and aTm still has the same shitty assistants they had last year.
So, this is obviously false.

The fact that your offense sucked golf balls through a soda straw is the ONLY reason Chavis doesn't have more titles
That's why he left your contract extension on the table and walked out

What excuse do you have for his other 12 years in the league?

If only Georgia wouldn't have lost to one of the shittiest florida and South Carolina teams in recent memory. Congrats on underachieving again since 1980.

I don't see it. Last year, the division was weak as hell. Sure, they beat up on the pathetic east, but as bowl season showed, the division was weak as hell. I don't see how it gets any great amount better this year. Auburn, Arkie and Aggy should be somewhat improved, maybe. LSU should be about the same for all eternity until we have a coach who can recruit and develop a QB. Alabama, Ole Miss and State should all take a step backward. To me, that suggests the overall strength of the division should be about as bad as last year, still leaps and bounds stronger than the east, but still weak as hell.

The SEC needs better quarterback play throughout the conference. Bama, LSU have huge questions, Auburn's is unproven, Ole Miss has no one. A&M, Arky and MSU have QBs in place but aren't as talented or as deeps as those other teams
Raise QB play and the SEC will be back on top of the mountain

No. You can't top two division teams playing in the national championship game.
It can be more competitive from last place to first place, but you aren't going to top two teams in the same division playing for a national title.
The best top heavy that I can remember were 4 teams from the same conference finishing with 10 wins in the same season and that was prior to the days of conference divisions. The Big 8 was the conference that had 4 teams with 10 wins at the end of the season.
