Dude I see the downvotes but 60 wins speaks for itself. There is an argument there, no doubt...

We have to be the best team in 25 years because we are the only #1 to win it.

They wouldn’t come close to beating last years Matty champions

Lol. How pathetic. Best SEC team oat. The numbers don’t lie.

LSU last year wasn’t even the number overall seed like Tennessee was. They were good obviously, just not all-time historically good like the lone 60 win/natty winning team in SEC baseball history.

2024 isn't even the best team UTK has fielded - ever
it's certainly not the best "UT" team to ever play in Omaha - because that would be Cliff Gustafson's 57-4 Texas entering Omaha in 1982 - Longhorns went 2-2 to finish 59-6 -
do you know who this is OP?

No doubt it will go down as one of the all time best. This recent tend of immediately comparing every championship to teams of the past cheapens it. Just enjoy it for what it is.

This is why you can't have nice things

Says more about the committee than us.

playing in an SEC with 8 teams below .500 in conference play helps.
Yall remind me of the 2020 Alabama Team. Clearly a good team, but who did you beat that was in the running for an all time team?

Seeding isn't as important as SOS and quality of players. 2023 LSU wins both

…. & Tenn wouldn’t come close to beating them

Weak. Wichita State had a team that won 73 games.

3rd post about this. I guess you didn’t like how the other two went.

Also forgot, they broke some magical curse that no other college baseball team could.
Except Miami, who did it first.

Tennessee definitely has an argument for a single year. Tough to argue against South Carolina's streak from 2010-2012 though.
South Carolina holds the NCAA record for consecutive wins (22) in the NCAA tournament as well as the longest win streak ever at the CWS (12 in a row from 2010 to 2012) in which the Gamecocks played for national titles all three years, winning two of them.
