Look, (and I can't believe I'm placating a Bama fan) nothing could EVER be worse than Colorado getting five downs to score on the goal line against Missouri in 1990.
That has to be the biggest referee frick-up in the history of college football.
Any time Colorado fans talk about their championship that year, all you have to do is say "Fifth Down" and they go ballistic.
What I'm saying that if, god forbid, Bama wins out and wins the MNC, nobody will remember an absolutely shitty call against LSU (except us LSU fans.) Bama will have done what's necessary to win it all.
Having said that, Geaux Bulldogs, War Chickens, Gators, or Horns.

Every single statistic in the 2008 SEC Championship game is extremely close, except for time of possession. I don't think there is a single statistic that is close for the LSU/Bama game. The game was fairly one-sided. LSU took a beating for sure.

We lost a close game. LSU lost in a game that was not nearly as close as the score suggested. Bama dominated every single statistic, and yet you guys - instead of manning up and taking the loss, have collectively bitched in some sort of effort to grasp on to anything that will make the arse kicking that you took feel a little less painful. The truth is that you guys took an arse whipping at the hand of a good team. All of this bitching and whining about ONE blown call in a game that wasn't really even close is pointless.

Its not pointless, the national media is all over the SEC and its officiating. There is a lot of money on the table, there is no excuse for the repeated screw ups every game.

Sure, but that ONE call didn't have near as much impact on the game as the LSU players failing to execute. You know, even after the blown INT call, LSU had a chance to stop us and couldn't do it. What about the running into the punter that gave us the opportunity to go for it on 4th and 1 instead of punting on 4th and 6? What about the offensive line letting Jordan Jefferson get hammered all night? What about Jarrett Lee only completeing 4 of 10 passes? What about the LSU offense only gaining 13 first downs all night?
And yet the refs cost you the game?
You guys got dominated when it counted the most - and THAT'S what cost you the game... whether you choose to believe it or not.

No you didn't. However, the majority of your fan base (at least the ones on Tigerdroppings) seem to have forgotten about the other aspects of the game. They would have others believe that if the refs had not blown that one call - the game would somehow have turned out differently.

There really is no need to worry about it. Once Bama gets smoked by Florida, nobody will care that they were helped into the game by the refs.
