My brother took me we went to the movie theater at Lakeside Shopping Center. I was blown away I had no idea what I was going to see and have been a huge fan since. I remember buying the trading cards with stickers and put them all over the door to my room and got in trouble for that.

There are Park Service Rangers on furlough due to their employment status and do not have access to email while on furlough. Wonder how that will work for those people that are supervisors and have management responsibilities but also have 4 weeks of furlough built into their employment.

It is illegal to do what they did due to the Hatch Act. All employees and volunteers have been warned multiple times post Ranger Reddit Thread. Every election cycle they are reminded do not engage while on duty or in uniform. You can protest or do whatever but you cannot tie it to your employment. In other words keep your work and private life separate especially on social media.
Every park does have a designated open space for protest and I have seen several protests in these areas.

That's part of the goal here. Just think of the condos that developers could build on that land!
Individual states would step in and assume the ownership of lands there is too much local economy around the gateways. Unnecessary to develop it and they want to extract rare minerals more than use it for housing. The fight in Western NC around rebuilding in areas ravaged by Helene but are around or on these mineral deposits is playing out in real time.

Looks like they also provide HIV services and those drugs cost a lot more than generic SSRI’s the Psychiatric clinic is providing. Interesting that they are running their own pharmacy program like that and not integrated into the LA county public health where costs of drugs would be more competitively priced. My guess is these foster kids have CalCaid and they are profiting from billing for pysch visits and filling the Rx’s too.

The seasonal rangers and the visitor facing staff in parks are not the problem it is probably the bodies at the actual DOI building. The gift shops and restaurants are run by contracted concessionaires or a 50c3 “friends” group no federal money is used. The funds from gift shops actually pays salaries for rangers and buys needed trail rehab, trail maps and uniforms.

Yes there are resource education rangers and law enforcement rangers who carry the guns and write tickets. Resource Ed is the public facing rangers you see every day. Then there are Preventative Search and Rescue rangers who haul out dead bodies or find people who get lost or fall and break bones etc and resource education rangers assist with that.

Looks like he is a seasonal ranger if that happened with all of these ridiculous mass layoffs. There are a lot of variations of how they staff the parks and there are not a lot permanent full time no -furlough positions. My supervisor will be on furlough for 17 days as she has been every year. This time she cannot take her laptop home since all telework is no longer allowed - but she is not being paid those 17 days either.

I liked their pizza tooI used to work at Begue Animal Hospital and we had an African grey parrot that we had to order a slice of pizza from Mama Rosa’s when it stayed with us as a boarder. They would deliver by bicycle and used a ton of cheese on the pizza which always stuck to the aluminum foil.

Dong Phuong are sold at various places hit up their website for where and also days when you can walk up and buy from them. Amore Cafe in Gretna has them and announces when they are arriving. Zuppardos does too but no idea when they get theirs.
