We're in agreement. He's high risk. I still love the guy, though.

He's like Houston Nutt. Decent, but brings a shite ton of baggage. Will always be outclassed by balanced, fundamentally sound teams. May occasionally jump up and knock off #1, but turn around and lose to three straight unranked teams at home. Both only run about ten plays total. Only difference is one does it all through the air and the other does it all on the ground.

I guess Malzahn is very similar too. Those three guys should get together and do a football analyst show together. It would be crazy.

He has a propensity for letting his mouth get him in trouble and then the audacity to turn around and sue the university that employs him while he embarrasses that school on the daily.

Everyone has passed him up because he acts like a fricking idiot. A "learned" moron.

Lots of schools passed on him because they are a bunch of liberal pussies. Anyone who knows anything knows Craig James and his family are trash. Everyone around Celina, Texas knows it. Leach has been successful at every stop and will be at State if they give him a chance.

This is what a coach looks like who is a fool.

I’m proud of my posting record that Mike Leach was going to be a disaster in the SEC.

At first I thought I could get used to it if we ended up hiring him. Thought, "well, maybe he could pull us back to Hootie Dale levels" and then we could fire him and hire our next Petrino. Thought at least it would be entertaining.

Eventually though I slapped myself in the face hard enough to realize this was a losers mentality and we don't want any part of a hire like that.

Well when State is done with this train wreck, maybe Florida can take him.

Well, I'm not going to get involved in his politics, but I will defend Leach to the death on the Adam James thing. If it had been me, it would've never gotten to the level of banishing him to that air conditioned, equipped with refreshments and an ice maker equipment shed, his arse would've long been off the team.

The right coach can win a title at Tech.

Their ex coach is winning at Arizona, in the NFL, and he had Mahomes, he still didn't win shite.

That shitty coach has as many 10 wins seasons at Arkansas as Leach does in his entire career. Add in 2 more at the Lou, Bobby is way better at coaching football.

That particular fool won 22 games in 2 years. Mike Leach averages like 8 wins per year. He's a decent coach, but look what is happening, man. Don't give me this shite that he doesn't have the players. He threw for 600+ in week one against the defending national champions on the road.

He just got exposed is what happened. His offense isn't gonna work in this league.

The Leach fanboys are getting mighty butthurt right now.

In a few years he’ll be at Valdosta St

If he is, I'll still be a fan.

I get it that he's entertaining. Who with sense of humor cannot be a fan of that?

If instead, you're a fan mainly because of his style of play, that tells me you simply watch so that you can have a chance at seeing a team who does things right go down every so often.

If that's you, congrats I guess. But it does suck to go through life knowing your best day happens when someone who is actually good has a bad day.

I never compared the two as football coaches. Petrino can coach, no doubt. That is beside the point.

Guy has been successful everywhere he's gone.

He’s been average with some peaks of a successful season every 5-6 years. People just excuse his mediocrity for things like “well he was a Texas Tech, what do you expect.”

To be fair, how many coach's have ever won a title at Texas Tech or Washington State?
