Just imagine how bad the arse whippings handed out in 2019 would've been if LSU actually had a legitimately good QB.

Nope Nick Saban trying to run up the Score on Moo State and getting his prized pupil hurt AGAIN....that was a very mediocre move...

Maybe it was the "Witch Doctor" doing voodoo?

"best wide receiver group you've ever had"

-------

Very, very debatable.

Not really. You had the best WR group you've ever had and we had the worst DB group since Saban has been here. And you still only won a 5 point game.

Our '06 group was comparable (Bowe. Davis, Doucet, and LaFell).

Granted, I don't keep up with Bama, but I thought Diggs, McKinney were 1st rd talent and Surtain was the top CB recruit in '18. No lack of DB talent in Tuscaloosa. Lame excuse IMO.

And we scored 46 pts. How much did you want us to score?

And that's not what they were saying before the game.

Nope. No talk of injuries or offensive systems or any of this other nonsense spewed in an attempt to knock Burrow and LSU.

46 pts against Bama's well coached secondary without "NFL velocity" is still pretty good though? Huh?

He played with a separated throwing shoulder

Nothing wrong with improving.

Helps not having a separated shoulder in your throwing arm

Going to have to get used to Alabama fans clinging to years gone by. They lived off a dead bear for 25 years, and as Saban's career comes to a close here soon they will be reduced to more and more of this sort of thing for the next few decades.

I'm sure Greg McElroy has relayed his insight to his many contacts in the NFL, and, with many millions of dollars on the line, they will give it the consideration it deserves.

First, Burrow will do fine in the pros. This is a weird path to take.

Second, I think McElroy is trying to look at it all objectively.

He acknowledges all the factors:
1. Burrow had a great WR corps
2. Burrow's 2018 season was nothing special
3. Burrow has great vision and recognition
4. Burrow will still be a great prospect

McElroy is neither taking a steaming dump on Burrow nor is he showering him with "greatest NFL QB ever". They're all valid points. What's he supposed to say?

I mean, he's at least going to give reasons for the stuff he says, unlike Skip Bayless.
