Your coach has said he’s open to canceling your future tough competition that’s not in Austin. That’s what I was commenting on. But absolutely. Recently, leading up to having to compete with A&M being in a tougher conference you played against tougher opponents. Because you had no choice. Now, once you are here you are publicly stating an opposite position as far as scheduling tough opponents. Because you didn’t get your way.

It’s all on full display. Bama has played pretty much anyone anywhere. So has LSU. And so will many other teams. No team is threatening to pull out of tough games because they don’t get their way except Texas.

Those are facts. It’s also a fact you own us this season as a team. We know that. Two things can be true at once.

Sounds like something y’all universally felt really strongly about. So I’m curious what you voted to let them in?

We voted for it.

What you don’t know is we actually pushed Texas to join the SEC when Arkansas joined. So we’ve always wanted us all in the SEC. Always.

When the LHN debacle happened we wanted them to stay out primarily because we didn’t feel like they would ever give up their own media rights deal. But they did.

So most Aggies fell back to their previous position. We actually like being in a conference with Texas. We didn’t want to be there when they literally had their own ESPN channel. Which is understandable I hope.

But historically we have always wanted us both to be in the SEC since before the Big12 was formed.

I've never seen whorn "select their conference based on what was the easiest path to the championship". I've never seen whorn "select their conference" at all. Most of their history has been spent in the same conference as.......well.....you. How do you reconcile that? I don't think moving to the SEC supports your statement either.

As far as "running from playing hard teams", I haven't seen that their historical OOC scheduling supports your statement by any stretch of the imagination, and it's kind of laughable quite frankly.

Say whatever you please about those figs. There's plenty of material. But don't just make shite up. "Aggies never lie"

No the season doesn’t end until the CFP is over. Some of us are still playing.

TX hasn't cancelled anything yet. But I do think everyone is looking at non-conference games that are down the road - not just TX. I would be careful not to throw stones at a glass house until you see all the teams' future schedules begin to unfold. The landscape will change because that is what the committee values. All teams just saw the juice is probably not worth the squeeze when it comes to scheduling playoff quality teams in weeks 1-3.

You are saying since we played no OOC games that season we wouldn’t still try to schedule weaker teams the next seasons? Because we didn’t play anyone OOC that season?

I'm not saying any of that. I'm stating that bragging about the run in 2020, regardless of being in or out, is just as lame as bama bragging about that being thw greatest team ever BECAUSE it was an all SEC schedule. Yet nobody admits that those SEC teams that year were all mid tier teams and just bad.

They were going to vote no. The SEC told them to get in line or get fricked.

Aggies and Longhorns are politically tied together. It took a well orchestrated exit while Aggies had power in the legislature to make an exit. And we had to fight lawsuits to make it happen. So we’ve been held hostage and making the best of it for nearly a century. Texas created their own conference and invited teams for nearly a a century. Name a conference that Texas “joined” that existed before they showed up besides the SEC.

Name one. Just one. Besides the SEC.

Yeah. That’s what I thought.

I sent a happy birthday Facebook wish to an Aggie friend I haven't seen for 14 years. I added a sincere "Go Aggies!" for the playoffs. His response wasn't thanks, but a snide remark about Texas. That says it all.

Bragging wasn’t my intention. I’m just saying we felt left out too and didn’t choose to run from tough teams to make ourselves look good. I am not saying Aggies deserved anything. I’m saying in that moment they felt like they did and didn’t run from a hard schedule.

We have the fifth largest school in the nation. Some of us are assholes. It doesn’t mean we all are.

The horns do the opposite. They run from playing the hard teams to prop themselves up so they can beat up on weak teams much like ND does.

Texas played 5 top-10 teams, you imbecile.

Our OOC schedule the past few years has been Alabama, Ohio State, and Michigan. Ohio State and Michigan were the returning national champions when we played them both...away, in their house.

'28/'29 is away/home vs. Notre Dame.

fricking crybaby little brother. Mercy.

Not sure how we can take the high road about unequal revenue sharing when we were a full participant in it with Texas,

The past few years schedule was due to having a weak Big12 schedule while A&M was in the SEC. You scheduled these games when we were in the SEC and you were not. Now you’re making different decisions.

aTm is like the fat girl that suddenly lost weight. Eventually the novelty will wear off and people will realize you're just a 4 with stretch marks.
