You don't like the sound of it. You would like it when it produces 4 small divisions that keep all rivalries intact while providing a way for other programs to play each other often.
It is a rubber meets the road thing. The math just sucks for 14 without 9 games.

and 9 games needs a 13 game regular season. The math sucks all the way around. 16 teams is more sustainable than 14, for sure

Without Alabama and Tennessee's early national prominence - the SEC doesn't exist... at least not like you see it today.
Alabama and Tennessee are the reason for large populations of black people in the south east?

A Bama spokesperson actually stated that they didn't want AU to go east 'cause it would help their recruiting? Could you give the exact quote please?

This is all Alabama's fault.
Why is this just Bama's fault? I'm assuming UT wanted to keep it goin' too. And didn't AU and UGA also want to keep their rivalry goin'? That's the oldest rivalry in the South any way and I didn't think either of them wanted to ditch that game either...
If we go to a 9-game conference schedule, problem solved. We'll be headin' that way sooner than later, I think...the first time an SEC team gets snubbed due to strength of schedule, the SEC will go to 9 games lickety-split...

No. We're the reason football in the south became relevant in the first place.
Without Alabama and Tennessee, all of those black people in the south east probably don't give two fricks about football.

Alabama, which resides in the SEC minority of wanting No. 14 from the East Coast, would support Missouri if it joined the SEC East, not the West, multiple sources said. According to the sources, Alabama has two objectives: Keep its annual cross-division rivalry game against Tennessee, and not watch Auburn move to the East and possibly grow its recruiting presence in talent-rich Florida and Georgia.
you have a link for this? Looks like an opinion from a writer to me.

The real tragedy is, you probably have a situation, where the HBC(Spurrier) will never face Saban again or coach a game in death valley (LSU) again . There is a good chance CMR will never coach a game again in BDS. These more than likely will happen.

That's what happens when you keep expanding. People here were dancing in the streets when the last two teams were added, now some people realize some of the negatives that come with added two more. Believe it or not, still some people want to add more teams

it was al.com, no writer cited. It was everywhere in the news. All "sources", no one is on record at the time, as we were not officially expanding. TnM is not fully truthful, but to dismiss his premise as delusional is being obtuse to what actually played out.

No joke. Nobody thought about the effects of expansion beyond the $ amount. It amazes me that there are people out there who really think it would be great if the SEC added OU, Texas, FSU, etc. They think this is Playstation or something and everything will just go on like it always has.

A&M was a great addition to the SEC and finally completed the missing "Texan" piece of the Southern pie.

OK, that's what I figured, just an opinion.
My opinion, UA wants AU in the East to preserve the UT rivalry. Everything else is secondary in my opinion.

If Auburn moved to the East, would y'all stop the constant online slap-fights?

Depends on the writer. I believe there are probably a few reasons why Bama would not want AU in the East. None of them would be a deal breaker except for the UT rivalry game.
