61% Interdasting maff. Good grief.
So yes or no? Does a team that wins 61% of the time over another team.. own that other team?
What about 57%? 65%? 70%?
Where is the cutoff?
When does a team take ownership?

I don't give a rat about OU and Texas. You're right that this is or WAS probably our best chance (since we're moving to a 16 team winner take all) But it's obvious our D coaching is lacking. No way that D is winning a conference, though it MIGHT be good enough to win a Division only because I think our O can score at least 30 on anyone and the division is down. I think Ole Miss beats us again with our D. LSU, probably. I feel okay about the rest.
In any event, winning a conference would be great but kind of unnecessary in this 12 or more playoff team scenario. Top 2, and maybe 3, is what to shoot for.

pencils in this Aggie as “not an alter”

I agree with you.. with one small difference
A conference championship does likely give you a 1st round bye.. and therefore into the final 8
BUT you don’t get a home playoff game when you have a 1st round bye.. so it will be interesting to see which seed is better over the next 10 years or so..

LOL, the October bottom falling out that Aggy goes through every year is just around the corner.

Jimbo isn't their cultural issue. Their cultural issue has been in place for decades, regardless of who they hire as a coach.

Pretty sure we were in the conference championship game same year we won the sugar bowl. Counts as sniffing IMO.

Retroactive MNC claims are good enough for their hubbies over at bammer, why not claim 'em?

Yeah, I hear you.
Jimbo has to capitalize now with the lack of dominance from the other teams in the conference
I’m not expecting anything until I see it. But the possibility is on the table because the talent is on the roster.

A&M missed their window by being the only Texas school in the SEC

Do you think Jimbo has called Durkin into his office and said:
“Do the opposite of the Miami game”

Haven’t sniffed one? We were one missed field goal away in 2012, remember?
A FG away from winning the west, didn’t even played for the conference. Good team though, too bad LSU beat you at home with a dinosaur offense.

Ultimately success is measured by Championships… and though the NC is the ultimate goal winning an SEC Championship is in itself a great accomplishment and a legit trophy for the books. It will always mean a lot.

If every decision I make ends up in failure, then the opposite would have to be right.
