Solid post Imo. There are several good posters here from each fan base they just don't draw the attention that the bad posters do. It has honestly gotten considerably worse over the last 2-3 years.

What if I had a .edu email 15 years ago?

One of the 'best of' posts. Nice Eric.
I've subnitted my fair share of vitriol, but yet I've also been complimentary and good-natured as well.
I never START threads, ever, only RESPOND. And I only respond IN KIND. So when I do see a post or thread that is trolling or insulting, I respond the same way.
The same goes for intelligent, harmonious posts.
Unfortunately, there are a few troublemakers on here that I would ban instantaneously were it my duty. But MOST on here are just like you and I -great CFB fans, in particular SEC.

There are too many posters here that treat people like animals. You act like you are the cool kids from highschool that bully people because they are different than you.
Well guys, it doesn't make you look cool, it makes you look like an inmature douche acting tough in front of your friends. And guys think they have to go along with it or risk being labeled a pussy or worse If they say something.
We can debate and discuss sports like adults and quit being someone else that shows different personality behind a keyboard. Most of you are like me : we live and breathe football and spend too much time here to feed our desires to revel in our obsession. We crave info and even while putting down other fans we enjoy talking to our sec brethre..
Honest question: Can't we talk, banter and debate our brothers from other states and football programs without being a bully? Disagree, use facts to prove a point and smack talk with integrity versus deystroying their character and opinion with malicious, holier than thou attitudes of hate and disrespect?
We could actually have a brotherhood of SEC fans that get along yet give each other a hard time when circumstance arive. You guys are articulate and funny but if you treated each username like you would fans you know in real life then this place would evolve into a much greater community of sports fans. There are real people with real feelings behind every key bourd.
Sorry for the rant and I've been guilty myself but how many of you will understand what I'm saying and put it to use? I know I will and you cool folks can call me a pussy if you want but I'm not, I'm just trying to help make this place a forum that becomes an even greater place than it is.
Black ball me if you want but it was worth a try. I can leave for a more friendly atmosphere elswhere bur I like this place a lot and know that it could become the most awesome forum of football on the net though it's close now.
Laugh me off the board but I'm no do-googer hippie that wants revolution, I just picture a mixture of fqns from different backgrounds that love their team as much as you v do. A LSU fan should share his excitement about having a championship team without reading L5u or Harris sucks. They are excited and Bama fans have reserved the right to respectively gloat considering we are on top. We don't need to hear wise cracks about or sisters or trailer parks etc.
Do you get the point? Let's make this place equally enjoyable for all. Or you can be too cool for that and tell me to kill myself and carry on the childish banter. The choice is yours.
Cliff notes or TLDR: Be nice, don't bully and make this place fun for everbody and not just cliques that try to be cool. Love you guys. Give it a try.
Rustled

Truth be told when I signed up here a year ago I did it with the intent to just talk sports but it became clear quickly that you'd just get steamrolled if you didn't "fight back." Especially when you're a UK fan trying to talk football and it's nothing but "you fricking suck!" We know it better than anyone...we watch that shite 12 Saturdays a year. OP is right though, a lot of the shite on here is unbearable (looking especiallt at you A&M v LSU threads. STFU already.) I'll do my part to quit posting like a jackass all the time.
