I was at the Iron Bowl in 2009 and I thought the eagle was awesome.

LSU - the night game mystique, and OMG the golden girls. They give up all pretense of "wholesome" with the high cut thighs and fishnets.

This

And I wished we had as many heated SEC rivals as Aubie.

If I had to name something I 'like' about each SEC school, it would be:

-Vanderbilt - nice uniforms and colors, private school status automically annoits them as prestigious. Good basketball program, loyal fans.
-Arkansas - nice unis and helmets, cool cheers, beautiful stadiums, good overall sports programs.
-Tennessee - Cool tailgating gameday setting, checkerboard end zones, Rocky Top, traditions, mascot.
-South Carolina - Loyal fans, admire Spurrier, good baseball program, beautiful baseball stadium
-Florida - Almost #1 loud stadium :) Passionate fans, great sports programs, especially recently.
-Georgia - Beautiful stadium, great tradition, Ugga, distinctive helmets, one of 3 SEC baseball national champions.
-Auburn - 'Tiger' the eagle pregame. Nice campus, loud stadium, good football program, good engineering school, good swimming/diving, golf.
-Ole Miss - Great unis, good tradition, cheers, hot hot women, nice old-South college town, good baseball stadium.
-Kentucky - Awesome setting, great songs, top 2 or 3 basketball program historically, good baseb all program, Rupp.
-Mississippi State - Nice colors, awesome video screen, good engineeering school.
-Texas A&M. Unique stadium, 12th man, traditions, Aggie War Hymn, Reveille, good sports programs.
-Mizzou. Nice unis and colors, decent tradition,
nice stadium.
-Alabama. Well. It's there. :)
No, they have a very nice old-South campus, trees, beautifully renovated stadium, one of top 5 cfb traditions, pretty decent coach. Great football program. Nice fight song.
(Don't care for Rammer Jammer though.)

There's nothing really to be 'jealous' about from an LSU perspective. I feel we hold our own against anyone in the nation, much less the SEC in many categories:
*Loudest stadium, night game mystique, Mike the Tiger, Golden Girls, Golden Band, best tailgating on the planet, Top 10 most beautiful campus,
Pregame, songs and traditions, Top 5 Football, Track, and Baseball programs, Top 5: Research Institution, Vet School, Petroleum Engineering School, Landscape Architecture School, Meteorlogical Hurricane Engineeering, Student-Athlete Complex, Pennington Biomedical Research Center.

Mike is a great mascot... I like the way the cheerleaders and Mike go around the stadium before the game.

You guys have an eagle fly around the stadium. That is way better than a tiger in a box.

Seriously ????????????????

Bama - having head-to-head winning record against everybody in the league
Florida - success in the past 20 years
LSU - tailgating and atmosphere

So, based on the first few pages, it seems most people would enjoy a school with Vandy's academics, Bama's football tradition/championships, Kentucky's basketball tradition/championships, LSU's baseball tradition/championships, Arkansas' track tradition/championships, UT's womens' basketball tradition/championships, Aburn's swimming tradition/championships, LSU's quiditch program, and Florida's women. We want our football games played at BDS (with MSU's jumbotron) which is set on the Tennessee River with the Vol Navy in full force, in the town of Athens, GA. On campus, we tailgate in the Grove with the LSU fans doing the cooking. At the game, the LSU band leads us in Rocky Top, RammerJammer, and Hotty Toddy while the Golden Girls dance naked on the field. The band plays Pregame while Spirit flies around the stadium and lands on LSU's Tiger Eye. Mike the Tiger watches the entire spectacle from his cage on the sideline. Nick Saban leads our team onto the field dressed in all black as we finally bring success to the "black out" concept. We will support our team in bad years (not that we'll have any) like South Carolina. For basketball, pretty much everything comes from Kentucky, so we'll just leave it at that.

i would go to this school...

Not a bandwagon fan. Moved to Alabama in 8th grade (during a time after Bryant, and before Stallings), after the army went to Alabama. Became a fan mainly because most of my friends were Bama fans and I ended up going to Bama. Same reason my sister and older Brother are Auburn fans. I do pull for LSU anytime they are playing someone other than Bama.

Believe it or not, when you move here, you choose between Auburn or Alabama (for awhile was wearing LSU stuff). Even the paddle when they allowed paddling at school had one side Alabama and one side Auburn and you got to choose which side to get hit with.

I'm just comparing the fact that Auburn has live eagles fly around the stadium freely pre-game to Mike being stuck in a cage (for incredibly obvious reasons).

If Mike were in a plexiglass cage, he would smother within 15 minutes because of the heat. The bars on the cage allow him to breathe while not biting someone's hand off.

Not an SEC school, but I'm jealous of UAB.

All the money and resources that have been invested into UAB over the years could've very well gone to UA. It hurt UA even more when the Blazers started their own football program, even though it's an embarrassment to nature.

Most importantly, the medical school. It belonged to UA before the BOTs voted to move it B'ham years ago to capitalize on the population boom. It should have never left T-Town. I can't imagine where UA would be in terms of prestige (plus the endowment and local economy) today had the medical school remained in T-Town. What's funny is these UAB people are wanting to secede from the UA system, but what they fail to realize is UAB does not own the medical school, the UA system does. So if they did find a way to secede, they're going to lose the bread and butter of their school, which I wouldn't mind seeing happen.

The only reason UAB exists today is because of greed. Nothing more, nothing less. When the state capital moved from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham back in the hay day, Tuscaloosa suffered a severe drop in population. When Birmingham began to experience exponential growth, UA created the University of Alabama Extension School there to capitalize on that growth.

He's saying the eagle flies at football games.

When they bring Mike to the game, he HAS to stay in a box. He's just that bad arse.

If UGA can air-condition a dog house, you guys can damn well air-condition a plexiglass cage, dammit!

FREE MIKE (from the bars on his cage)!!!
