South Carolina fans no longer consider Georgia a rival and are okay that the Georgia game is not on the schedule.

I didnt read through the others so I don't know if this is a troll thread, but assuming its not...your take on SC is just wrong. A lot of us want UGA/UT/UF

Hail State fans are happy Bama and LSU are off their schedule for a year,

No we're not or at least I'm not. our schedule is a Big 12 matchup with a few SEC east teams thrown in there. It blows!

I mean I'm certainly not complaining about UK and Vandy on the schedule, but I don't get having LSU there at all instead of UGA, UT, or UF. They love giving us LSU any time there's a schedule change. Or Auburn.

Nor us you, real talk.

What are we 7-2 in the last 9 meetings? :lol

I consider you a W on our schedule.

UGA/ AU, UGA/UF, UGA/UT,and UGA/ SC should be annual games. They are long time rival games between schools in bordering states that create a lot of interest within these states. As a UGA fan I have little interest in playing or visiting the Texas, Okla, Miseries, or A&Ms. No one I know gives a damn about these schools and to rip apart the SEC to accommodate them is not right. If the SEC wanted better games they should have changed the schedule to include more UGA/Bama type games instead of shoving these outsiders down our throats

Most liked the schedule and felt it was fair.

You’re confusing us thinking the schedule is easier with liking the schedule. Most do not like our schedule.

Some, not all, seemed to be okay if the DSOR died as an annual event. I assume they were not Russian bots.

I’ve seen none say it. You quoted one guy and didn’t even link it. I don’t think that is “some”. That’s one.

Tradition is the reason most don’t like our schedule. So I don’t know why they’d be fine with getting UGA off the schedule when that’s our longest series…

You nailed A&M

Now that the schedule is know it appears a lot of our fans are only talking about what week the Texas game will be played. It’s going to get annoying. Hope the final dates happen sooner than later.

I'm one. Dropping Georgia will be fine with me.

Georgia/Auburn is tradition. Just like Bama/AU and UF/LSU. And the SEC is working overtime trying to do away with the traditional game days that fans appreciate and value. All to let the likes of Texas, Okla, A&M, and Misery into our conference.

Kentucky is one of the few teams South Carolina has a winning record against in the SEC so we need the blue & white to stay on our schedule

Alabama fans don't consider a team they've played for over three decades annually, played the Game of the Century against, has been arguably the biggest thorn in their side since Saban has rejoined the conference, has almost always been CBS' primetime matchup, and was the previous school of the GOAT before he left the conference, a rival.

Sorry, Alabama has a lot of great history. It'll take another 3 decades before LSU could displace Tennessee, and they'll never be able to displace Auburn. Losing to LSU just isn't as emotionally impactful as a loss to AU and UT. Even though I love the LSU game, it's a distant 3rd.

South Carolina has 3 SEC teams within a 5-hour drive of campus. None of them are on the schedule for 2024, but the SEC has us playing Oklahoma, Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, Missouri, and Texas A&M. Makes absolutely no sense. Geographical footprint should have factored into the matchups.

Absolutely. Do you or your fellow Carolina fans really want these long road trips to play these outsiders? No one I know does.

Most SC fans are disappointed we don't get at least one of UGA/Tenn/Florida. I think one of them should be swapped for A&M or Missouri. It's our first time playing Oklahoma so that's pretty exciting. Haven't seen LSU or Ole Miss in Columbia since 2008 and 2009 so most fans are excited for that. But A&M is over 15 hours away. Missouri is 13.5 hours away. Just doesn't make sense why the SEC would keep those pairings.

If you are playing at Okla don’t expect much. I’ve seen the area and the stadium. It will be a long long drive or plane trip to a dreary place

exactly, obviously we lose those games more times than not, but we look forward to that rivalry week.

Some A&M fans are upset that Texas got to host UGA before they did. Others looked on the bright side and said it would be better to play them on a neutral field in Atlanta. Most like their schedule but felt the Longhorns got off with a lighter one.

Pretty much. More upset about A&M not getting our road trip to Lexington. Absurd that A&M has been in SEC for 11 years, and will be for at least 13, without a trip to Lexington. Ridiculous.

But LSU, Arky, and Texas all on the schedule is a welcome back-to-basics of college football for A&M. Can't complain too much.

That’s why I want to do 9 games 2 divisions.

You move Auburn and possibly Alabama East then you essentially have a traditionally SEC division and a big 12 division. LSU kind of gets left out but they still have some more natural rivals over there anyways.

5 of the big 6 play each other every year. You have some other marquee rivals in the other division (OU/Texas, Texas/A&M). Arkansas has history with Texas. A&M has history with OU. LSU still gets mississippi schools.

West
LSU
OU
Texas
Arkansas
Ole Miss
MSU
A&M
Mizzou

East
Alabama
Auburn
Tennessee
Florida
Georgia
South Carolina
Kentucky
Vanderbilt

A schedule where Auburn plays Bama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida every year excites me more than the crap they gave us in 24.

You lost to a 3 wheeled Cadillac last year. You have enough to worry about with Jimbo!

I don't mind adding them and playing them, they just screwed us to where we are not playing any of our traditional games except for ole miss for an entire season. Sorry Arkansas, I'm old enough to still consider you an addition. They didn't even give us Kentucky from the east.

This:
Missouri
Texas
A&M
Arkansas

and no:
Bama
Aub
LSU

Instead, you'll get the big 3 UF, UGA, and Tenn from the east. Terrible.
