You get this one
quote:

Clemson game

Has great potential. Unlike LSU offensive coordinators
quote:

Sark hired as OC

All basketball related,of which Bama is addressing now. LSU will get to address a coaching opening in a few weeks.
Otherwise, I'm not disappointed in the SECs basketball success.

Well I wouldn’t expect them to be happy about having less success.

Enjoying every minute of us and glad the SEC teams are doing well. 4 in the sweet 16. Bama has been there before and will get there again. AU and UT sucked for a long time until they got their guy. UT started with Pearl and Barnes is taking it up another notch. Au sucked for a long long time after Sonnny Smith retired. Did have a little success but not like now.

Is Norfolk State as bad as 44-16?

44-16 is Tier 1
Norfolk is Tier 2

With all the hype and expecatations going into 44-16, that one will be remembered forever. Such an epic beatdown.

Norfolk will forever be remembered though, it is almost the exact same as UVA/UMBC.

If you've never lived in Tuscaloosa you will never understand the lack of fks to give about hoops. That is the reason we are such a shite basketball program. Football is the only sport we will pay to watch over and over and over no matter how good or bad we are each year.

If you had lived here you'd know that. People on this board are not an accurate cross section of the average Alabama sports fan.

I do think Tuscaloosa/UA is growing enough however to support a good basketball program if we were to make a sustained run for a while and actually gain legitimate attention.

Why would I want the SEC teams to do well? It doesn't help Alabama for LSU, UT, or Auburn to make a final four run.

bullshite. I've lived in Tuscaloosa. It's supported just as much here as every traditional SEC town other than Lexington.

Why does anyone care what Bama fans think? Do you need their approval to validate your team's success. Personally I couldn't give fewer fricks.

Whatever you say, boss. I've lived here my whole life and only the older gents with less to do talk hoops -at- all.

So you have no perspective on other SEC towns. Guess what. It's the same in Knoxville, Baton Rouge, Gainesville, Athens... every traditional SEC town other than Lexington only talks about hoops a lot when their team is good.

And if no one cared, why the hell did we just foot Avery's buyout?

We have a ton of money, and it's not like the university wants to give up on the sport. Let me ask you this... if you were right, what is our ticket cost? What is our average attendance? When was the last time we were actually good? What are our TV ratings?

Small like pretty much every other SEC team

Last year 13,390- 22nd nationally and 5th in the SEC

Fan support doesn't equal being good

Probably about the same as every other SEC team.

Well whatever. That's cool. I'm certainly not emotionally charged like some of the folks here reading my posts. What I know is that no one talks about basketball... ever. If you say we care and we're a good basketball program, great! I'm not wishing ill on our program etc... but, we have a small venue, we have a hard time filling it up, and no one that grew up here is upset if we lose and don't even seem mildly interested when we do better than average.

I think people that move here from out of state for college are the key to building it up. Places where basketball is relevant b/c there are pro teams they followed growing up.

This is a t'town native's outside perspective, b/c I haven't ever really paid much attention to it. Perhaps I'd have a different opinion if I followed it.. but then, that would also be a more vested/jaded/wishful-thinking perspective. I know of literally one guy that goes to basketball games every year. He has also lived here his whole life.

This is just like... one guy's opinion, man. I'm under the impression we're here to express those on this anonymous sports forum.

https://filezilla.software/ https://downloader.vip/malwarebytes/ https://downloader.vip/rufus/You know they are watching with envy and covetous feelings. The vast gap b/w their football success and their floundering bball team drives them nuts.

Yeah your dumb. I’m a Bama guy and my wife went to Florida, just thirty minutes ago we were screaming our asses off for Tennessee. Last night in New Orleans a gymnast killed her routine and got a 10 to seal the deal for LSU we cheered for her as well even though it sealed the championship.
