Doesn't matter they will find some way to blame this on Bama. It's the narrative that counts.

Possibly, but since the police have already said he has no affiliation with Auburn University, it's probably not that.

Exactly.

Since we're making up stories to fit our narrative, I think it was an auburn fan who had just seen LSU win and didn't realize it would be overturned. Either that, or Kristi Malzahn's nephew who is tired of her crazy shite and mad because his hashbrowns weren't "scattered, smothered, and covered" on his last trip to the Waffle House.

It still wouldn't make sense.

Harvey Updyke was the greatest thing that ever happened to some of you auburn ranters. For the rest of your lives, whenever you want to paint the entire Alabama fanbase as insane, bitter assholes, you get to point to Harvey.

Now someone sets fire to your beloved oak trees, which was common for years by your own fans, it's Harvey all over again.

Congrats. Your team sucks arse but you get to play the victim this morning, so it's a win for you.

Don't forget about the chick who shot and killed the other chick..........because she just wasn't taking the loss serious enough.

Or the tea bagger. Let's don't forget about him.

We don't want to paint with a broad brush.

You people are douchebags whether you win or lose.

It's pretty clear Harvey is an Auburn fan. A guy from Texas with no connection to UA who randomly shows up 30 minutes away from Auburn, says "Roll Damn Tide" (what Bama fan says that?) and gives them a perpetual moral victory.

So you'd light a Toomer's Oak on fire opposed to just going out and beating someone's arse? Doesn't make sense.

I don't see an Auburn fan doing that. Either LSU or bama fan, IMO.

Given enough alcohol, I can promise you at least a few AU fans would think it would be "cool"

What you don't seem to realize is that 4 pages of "CSI:auburn" where you try to prove your assumption that this must have been a Bama guy puts you in exactly the same category as above.

You are what you hate...without the championships.

You realize that it could very easily have been an Auburn fan. And then based on your posts in this thread you're going to have start condemning your own fanbase the same way

Well dang, I know a life-long Auburn fan that shot one of my dog's leg off in front of my family, and his Auburn loving family tried to cover up for him. (This guy didn't go the Auburn, but all of his fam did.) Do I hold that crime against every Auburn fan? Hell no. Point is, it doesn't matter what team affiliation you have, there are going to be crazy people who do really stupid, sick things. And you know what is even more stupid? The fact that there are some Auburn fans that can't see that anybody who lives in the state of Alabama, and the southeast in general, are kind of sharing the same culture. You'll come across some people who represent the state and southern culture terribly, and then some that make us proud to be from where we are. That's just life.

Not just one guy is a POS. An entire fanbase is a POS. Whoever it is.
