This exactly. People who are railing against this stuff clearly haven't worked in professional settings. This stuff would have gotten you fired in 2001, let alone 2011 or 2021. This has been a bad idea for a very long time.

The fact that other people do wrong or worse doesn't make this less bad. It's like saying that other people commit murder when you're trying to get out of your ticket at traffic court. Cool story, bro--be sure to pay the clerk on the way out.

I'm not talking just welfare, I'm talking total dollars for everything. Roads, schools, welfare, etc. Southern states in general take the cake for that. NY and California usually pay more than they take in, but I think California of late has been taking more.

I do believe that pretty much since the Vietnam era, most of the Military Bases that were improved and developed in terms of infrastructure were mostly in Southern States. This was for several reasons, having large Military bases in Southern States was less of a problem than the more Liberal states during and coming out of the Vietnam era.

When Reagan did his military build up, bases and units that were housed in Southern States from Texas to the Carolinas got most of the Military spending. Of course, while base closures or consolidation was suppose to be non-political, the bases that were downsized tended to be in liberal leaning states where there was lots of not only anti-war protests, which where not wrong as the USA Politicians have sent lots of young men into BS wars starting with Vietnam but directed at men who served (and that was the problem).

Its all a power grab and white people need to start sticking together. We have to come together and be strong. The government isnt looking out for us. We dont get help getting into college because of our skin tone and there are a ton of other examples you can look to. White people need to start banning together. Looking out for eachother and being proud to be white. Im proud and know we are the greatest race just based on allllll the acomplishments we have in the world today. People can be mad about us taking over the world but if they could have they would have back in the day but they were not advanced enough. Now they cry and are trying to back there way into the top and rewrite history. Im tired of being a white male in this country and always taking blunt of blame. Im so tired of hearing about it its about time for action.

I don't even fully get why Gruden is even a topic on this board --- i guess you could see it as several colleges had him as their daydream hire...

But nothing you are writing has jack shite to do with football. Nothing wrong with that, but i think there is another place for it on these forums.

I think military siting has a lot to do with military necessity and where land is readily available, which tends to be the West and the South.

If you look at the 129 bases closed over the last few decades, there are lots of small facilities that got closed--depots, test sites, proving grounds, etc. I don't think that being liberal or having Vietnam protests factored into those decisions. What stands out when you look at the list is where bases didn't close--only about 20% were from electoral swing states. While military need drives most of the decisions, it's also pretty clear they tend to close bases in states that aren't a factor in electing presidents.

Meh. I’m not saying that I wanted him fired, but come on. He insulted: the commissioner, the refs, the NFLPA president. He had topless photos of cheerleaders sent to him.

You are such a wuss! But the players can do all of the above plus rape and pillage, do drugs, shoot someone, call me a honky, etc. and its all good.

Insult the Commissioner = he is WOKE, get a nice fine
Insult the refs = they deserve it, give me my fine
Topless cheerleaders = what's your point

Gruden should not put his business out on emails, but he should not be fired immediately. You fire him once over 50% of the team says they will not play for that racist. That is taking care of business. Firing him just because he said these things = same or less (words than actions) where players get away with murder

I am old enough to remember all the base closing hearings during Bush 1's presidency after the Berlin Wall fell. This was called the so-called "peace Dividend" back around 1990. I think the base closures were not suppose to be political but I think still the large bases are still Southern heavy, save California.

Yeah but you got to be smarter than to type those “WORDS” out.
