Finebaum is even more of a dumb arse than I already think he is if he actually believes that.

I don't know why people think any college team could play with any NFL teams. The NFL surpassed colleges many decades ago, and I bet the gap is even wider today. I literally grind my teeth when I hear somebody say it. Here's the link if you want to see the results of the games that were played.LINK
I feel like someone brought this up the other day but said the College team won once

Yea, Nicky's pimp is totally unbiased. Take this bet to Vegas & see what the professionals say. No college team could beat any pro team. Period.
I think the 2001 Canes could beat the '67 Packers

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The Browns would beat Bama 50-0.

Would be the first capable defense they faced all season.

Finebaum is a troll. No NFL team would ever lose to any cfb team.

Haha, it's not an SEC football season until we get the "Bama could beat an NFL team" thread.

People said this in 2012 when they were undefeated. They went into Tiger Stadium and were dominated for 28 minutes and 18 seconds of the second half
...and the next week they got beat at home by a 15 point underdog.
What's the spread for Saturday again?

It's professional football players vs college football players...Idk how else to explain this to somebody. PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES VS COLLEGIATE ATHLETES. Grown men vs college kids. The most obvious mismatch would be seen at the line of scrimmage.
I'll give you an example of the 2011 Bama team...
Defense
Mark Barron (Rams)
Courtney Upshaw (Ravens)
Nico Johnson (Giants)
Donta Hightower (Patriots)
Robert Lester (Panthers '13-14)
Dre Kirkpatrick (Bengals)
Jesse Williams (Seahawks '12-16)
Josh Chapman (Colts)
Damion Square (Chargers)
Dee Milliner (Jets '12-16)
Offense
Marquis Maze (Steelers '12)
Barrett Jones (Rams, Steelers, Eagles)
Chance Warmack (Titans)
William Vlachos (Titans '12)
Anthony Steen (Dolphins)
DJ Fluker (Chargers)
Michael Williams (Patriots)
DeAndrew White (Patriots)
AJ McCarron (Bengals)
Eddie Lacy (Packers)
Brad Smelley (Browns, Rams)
Sorry... That group isn't getting blown out by the fricking Browns. And I'd bet that line of scrimmage and front 7 would have an advantage over the horse shite that the Browns trot out every Sunday.
You don't have to like it. That's just the way it is.

Well I don't really think Cody Kessler would have a lot of success passing against Bama, I'd say that's fair because he's just a rookie.
That said, Jalen Hurts would throw for negative yards against the Browns. It'd be way too hard to complete a pass against an NFL defense for a true Freshman. Sure, OJ Howard and Calvin Ridley are talented enough to be in the NFL, but Hurts would not have time to get his weapons anything other than screens, which would be blown up in the backfield by NFL defenses.
The biggest difference is in the trenches. Yes, Bama's OL and front 7 are elite and filled with future NFL players. But the lines for Cleveland are filled with men who are older, stronger, and more experienced. Bama's OL is talented, but still rather inexperienced. Hurts and the backs would get destroyed. I do actually think we could get a little bit of pressure here and there, but that's only because we have three pass rushers who will be doing in on Sunday next year. Maybe 2-4 pressures throughout the whole game, but that's if Cleveland would even bother to throw.
At the end of the day, I do wish we could see it as an exhibition for charity or something. That way we could finally put a nail in the coffin of all this Bama vs NFL team stuff.

He would be throwing behind an NFL line to NFL receivers and NFL TEs. There would be mismatches all over the field. He would look like an All Pro.

Hey Tuscaloosa. I will name the whole roster of the browns
Guess what, they have 53 guys that are NFL players
2011 bama scored 6 points at home to lsu. An NFL team would pussy punch saban and make him like it
