USA Today awhile back named the worst fan bases in the country, regardless of sport, pro or college.
Texas Longhorns were one of two college fan bases named among the top 10 --- but, they were the higher ranked of the two and, therefore, the worst of the bunch.

Longhorn fans are generally douchier and on average worse people. A&M, Tech and Baylor fans in Texas are on average more down to earth and hospitable

Texas fans are…different. Just an odd mix. Lotta tech nerds, “We’re Texas and everything is bigger and better, baws”, metrosexual / homos, Hispanics, Indians (red dot), and tech nerds.” It’ll be interesting to see how they fit.

Bunch of low confidence figs who hang their hopes on a school they have zero affiliation with.
