I disagree. He's been there for three full seasons and is well on his way to as good a three-year run as anyone at Ole Miss in 60 years.

He’s gotta get to 9 wins this season to do that.

That would be surprise me PW, what's the basis of this statement?

Not the same team that played FSU.

To be fair Fsu was very fortunate to squeeze by Boston College, and then a very average Clemson team. So even they aren't looking exactly special since.

Jimbo is definitely the bigger fraud, I’ll give you that

He also led Ole Miss to win it's first 10 win regular season since the 60's and has beaten every team in the West at least once except Bama after taking over a crippled Ole Miss program. It's hard to beat teams that have more than 9 wins because they're used to Ole Miss being one of those 9.

I just think that's his ceiling no matter how evened out the West gets.

Keep in mind in the last 3 years the west has had a pretty heavy bottom.

2020: 2 teams finish with 9 or more wins
2021: 3 teams
2022: 3 teams

The West has softened up a bit.

A&M is the same as they were before Jimbo.
Kiffin absolutely has elevated Ole Miss to a higher level. Obviously I'm not saying elevated to championship level yet, but it's still a definite improvement.

I don't disagree at all with the statement a few days ago that he's our Dan Mullen. Dan improved MSU to a higher and consistent level. If Kiffin can also put Ole Miss higher on the pecking order in CFB, then he's doing a good job in the grand scheme of things.

Now obviously, we do have the expectation of a continued improvement considering how much we pay him and our NIL status. But competitive depth on the roster takes some time.

Okay you obviously can't use this metric in 2020. There were only 10 scheduled regular season games and half the conference didn't play all 10.

Is he still seeing an Ole Miss grad student?

OK but the rest of the west had 6 or fewer wins. Like it was especially down.

I used back to 2020 because the mention of last 3 years' record.

And 2021 and 2022 weren't much better.

Probably have to keep it in perspective. 2021 Ole Miss was one of the two or best Ole Miss teams since desegregation – 10-3 and a Sugar Bowl. That's a huge season for Ole Miss.

The fact that Saban booted Kiffin the week before a national title game tells you all you need to know.
He gave up a natty to get Kiffin away from his program.

Ole Miss should have called his bluff rather than forking over an insane amount of money for a social media influencer!

Well, our QB did miss two guys wide open in the end with 3 minutes left. That wasn't exactly Kiffin's fault and certainly impacted things. Y'all for some odd reason seem to think we are in love with LK. Of course we want him to succeed, but the vast majority of OM fans think he's paid far too much and we just want him to win some if he's making that type money. We ain't in love with him.

quote:

That stat is fricking horrendous. OM actually thinks they have a good coach and that they’re going to beat LSU this weekend. Pretty funny stuff. He’s all talk and no true action so far. And what he did at the end of that game last weekend officially sealed it for me that this guy is not head coach material for the SEC. Did he really play to not get blown out like last year? Took his pretty little time that last drive since his D couldnt stop shite. Why wouldn’t he have sped it up and try to score 2 touchdowns with six minutes left in the game? One of the most fricked up things I’ve seen in a long time in a game. What a chickenshit.

Also a huge season for anybody in this conference outside of what, three times. And a huge season for about 95 percent of college football.

His problem is the same as so many of the “gurus” around the country. Good at skill positions and flash, but minus a great OL coach is always going to flounder in big-boy games.

yes because they played a shorter schedule with no OOC games. So less wins is typically what happens when you take away 3-4 wins from everyone.
