There is no reason Arkansas should not be competitive in football.

If UK can find a coach and field a decent team, Arky should be able to do the same.

They never recovered from the memorandum of understanding.

Where would they be now if they had pulled the trigger and got Lane

Arkansas scares me, because that could easily become us.

I think Lane would’ve left sooner. I don’t see the corporate overlords of Arkansas willing to deal with his shenanigans. They already don’t care for the football programs as it is.

There’s definitely a reason. And the reason is our administration are dumbasses.

Silverfield? What a joke.

I genuinely believed that with Texas entering the SEC, that would have been the catalyst for the powers that be at Arkansas to get off their collective wallets and build something.

If getting your biggest rival back on your schedule doesn’t move the needle… I don’t know what to say.

They should be and were last season with Petrino. They let him go because he couldn't fix one of the worst defenses ever fielded in SEC history (that pretty much no other coach could fix either in just a few games btw). Despite the horrendous defense, Petrino gave them something to cheer for and gave other teams scares.

Belichick made one of the best off season hires in CFB. They honestly should have taken down Miami last night.

If the fans cared enough Yuracheck would be fired.

The fact he is still employed tells you all that you need to know.

Arkansas is why I laugh when people say Mississippi would be really good if it had one major college team instead of two, er I mean three.

Arkansas should be good. Waltons, Tysons, Stephens, and other gazillionaires. But for various reasons, it does not get the support such people give to other schools nor is there a push by the administration to do so.

John Tyson spends 10 million on all types of sports but only gives 2.5-3 million to football.

He gives some to basketball but the Hunts do the heavy lifting.

The Waltons for years have not given any money to the academic side since they got snubbed by the university over the chancellor hire.

Maybe none of them tie their self-worth to football teams?

With the super rapid development of NW Arkansas they have better ROIs all around them.

Plus, well, we did piss off the Waltons. Who, it should be noted, love sports. The various family members own a ton of pro sports teams.
