Nobody calls guys out for that kinda stuf? It 100% ruins the integrity of a poll or championship. If a voter has Alabama 2nd and OSU 20th in the last poll he should never be able to vote again.

There were some others as bad as Stoops. I hate the human polls, but I really hate the coaches' poll. There is build in financial incentive for coaches to rank teams in their conference as high as possible in order to get into the BCS.

This is why I've been saying that Alabama isn't in the clear yet. Every coach with a ballot in the Big 12 is going to put OSU at #2, if not higher. The reverse for the SEC. It's going to come down to what the East and West coast does.

Right. Because the odds of scoring from inside the five are roughly equivalent to odds of scoring from inside the fifty.

No, because if we were to use your fricked up logic, every down would be considered a scoring opportunity no matter if you started on your own 1 yard line.

I'm assuming you actually attended Louisiana State University but it had nothing to do with analytics.

Well, it's a good thing the SEC has 2 more teams than the Big10/12 huh? I'm nervous but it will be VERY interesting to see what happens.

Yes, because 2nd and 10 and 3rd and 10 aren't "passing situations."

The key word is penalty. You don't get a penalty and still have a 2nd or 3rd and 10 unless you use your corndog logic.

All I can say is 1966. It can happen again.

The OSU 7th place votes were in reaction to their loss. I have a feeling you will see a much clearer picture next Sunday night. And I also agree about the ESPN hype machine. They are not about getting the two best teams to play. They are about drawing in viewers and the best way to do that is through controversy.

This. Do we have any "friends" in those conferences? Pretty sure we do not. It does not help their recruiting when the SEC wins the BCSNCG year after year.

Well shite, here's your "Crossed the 50 2 more times than LSU even though we still lost" trophy.

You need to keep up. We've gotten past the who won point. We're talking about why the corndogs are pissing and moaning because they might not get to play the weak sisters of the poor for the title.

You're the one continually bringing up irrelevant shite from Nov 5 in this thread.

It's not irrelevant. Bama and LSU are obviously the best teams in the country for the reasons I've been stating. Nov 5th and the stats I've been quoting shows why. This whole been there done that, we want to play some piss poor opponent so we can go undefeated and win the title for the 1st time since 1958 is what the thread is really about.

you're mad that #1 we only dropped one spot and #2 if you lose Friday you don't have the same luxury we did by losing because you're probably out of the BCSCG picture

LSU is very much in the BCSCG picture, win or lose on Friday.

You have to score to get to overtime.

LSU did it once. Bama did it once. LSU picked off two passes. Bama picked off two passes. LSU capitalized with a FG with one. Bama didn't

Yes they did. Bama kicked a FG after their 2nd interception, in the third quarter.

Is there some rule that doesn't allow an offense to score on any given play?

The only relevant stat from that game was the score.

Or perhaps we should judge Bama's D based off the rush yards allowed this past Saturday? I bet you wouldn't agree with that.

Looking back I see I didn't phrase that right. Let me restate what I meant. I meant on one pick Bama failed to capitalize. That was just another opportunity because the first pick resulted in a blocked FG and gave LSU great field position on the Bama 48.

If LSU wins the next 2 games then we should play Oklahoma State (if they win the Ok/Ok St game) in the BCS. That will then mean that LSU will have beaten.....

#2 Oklahoma State
#3 Bama
#4 Arkansas

Pretty clear cut champion.
